My NYSC Story by @idken || delegate 20% to Steemnigeria

My journey from Akwa Ibom to Kano on the road is something i will never wish to experience again...I pray for grace for a better alternative when I'm done with the program and ready to visit home, just a visit, because I'm not going back home.
We almost had an accident on our way, and I'm glad it was almost.
Even when we were supposed to be dropped at the camp, the Hausa man had other options, when he realizes that he was cheated by my people and some of his people at the University of Uyo Town campus, which was the take off point.
But fortunately i was able to find my way to the camp, even when Hausa drivers felt they've seen a novice. Collecting 1k for distance that was similar that of main gate to annex gate.
But I was able to find my way to the camp.

On getting to the camp i had plans of leading people..At least let it be my first time of being seen as a leader. And luckily i was the first to be registered in my platoon.
So i decided to help others that will be coming to also complete their registration... From there i made a lot of friends. I had to create a WhatsApp group as a form of contact and also to disseminate information. But I chose not to do it alone,so I brought in a guy who eventually outsmart me to become the platoon leader and a lady,so together we will be able to control our members.
Next move was for the three of us to meet the platoon officer and inform him of the new development. From there he will give us the go ahead to lead the group. But men will always be men.
So the guy i brought in went behind my back and inform the platoon officer that they don't have a group, and the man made him the platoon leader and then created another group so he will be the only admin.
I don't know if it was because the guy understands the language... but that's no longer a problem.
I could see him shaking when he came back to inform me of what happened... this my beards get influence die.
But as person wer no like wahala i had to let it go.
Then i came up with a plan B.
I saw a notice for the general drama group and i decided to join not to become the leader but to fight what has been one of my weakness,stage fright.
I met with the coordinator and other prospective corp members and we were told to do a short drama. We were giving role, and I don't know how i managed to impress the coordinator to a point of being selected. And was given the mandate to create a WhatsApp group and organized others that will be coming.
Las las I became a leader....na why i have decided never to struggle for anything in this life but always do my best.
