My Version of 'I Can' | Steemit Philippines Open Mic Week # 6

About the song i've chosen, the title is "I Can" and was originally sung by Ms. Donna Cruz, a local female singer here in the Philippines. The song is an official track of a movie 'DoReMi', it's about a friendship of 3 girls that has different family and cultural backgrounds, different attitudes and personalities and different beliefs but one thing in common with them was their love for music. It was a movie back then which was a musical Filipino movie and I remembered that it was really amazing and fun to watch, it has been a blockbuster one. Fun fact, the three lead characters became real friends behind the camera up until this present time. I also love this song because of the message.. it's like because of someone, somebody realizes that she is worth the life he is living with. That she can do this and that, especially to dream, to love and be love and be true dear friend to somebody else whom you can give more colors to life. The melody and rhythm of the song is also lovely, it's not too complicated and sounds more of a relaxing or inspirational tone to me. I've sung this many times on videoke haha and I feel like everytime i sing it I have my real and encouraging friends around me. Coz me and most of my friends are more of a long distance relationship, we don't see each other always or actually for a long time, but the friendship never ends and never changed, once reunited still feels like the old time. And that is what exactly this song's effect on me, missing my friends and reminiscing old good time with them.
