The Diary Game: The Beautiful Baler
Before Covid19 pandemic, I'm happy that I got to travel with my mother, brother, and my ex-boyfriend, who is now my husband @iyanpol12. We're also with our relatives and friends.
It is my first time to visit Baler, which is the capital of Aurora Province. However, traveling there is not easy because you'll have to pass through zig-zag roads in the mountain which is quite scary. In fact, that's the start that I got motion sickness. Still, I'm able to enjoy the trip.
The picture above showing me and @iyanpol12 with the life-sized characters of Baler. That's located at the municipal plaza.
I'm with @iyanpol12 here, and my cousin. This is the house of Doña Aurora Aragon, who became the wife of President Manuel Quezon. The province was named after her, and this is formerly a part of Quezon province too. The old house is located close to the municipal park of Baler.
We went to Ermita Hill where ancestors of the province sought refuge during a huge tidal waves. Again, I'm with @iyanpol12 here.
From Ermita Hill, we can see Baler Bay. The town of Baler and nearby towns are very visible from the viewdeck too. In the sea, there's a river connected to it. In that river, there's a hanging bridge which is also one of the tourist spots of Baler. Of course we also went there.
There I am at the hanging bridge. It's quite scary because it's moving. Other tourist try to swing it which is not allowed. But I enjoyed crossing the hanging bridge. Some parts of it needs repair though.
My brother and my mom. I'm happy that they had joined the trip. I feel sorry about my mother during the trip because she had asthma attack. She's strong because she overcame it.
This is still at the Ermita Hill with my now-husband. There are a lots of trees and it's refreshing being surrounded by them. I hope to travel again with my husband someday but I'm not sure if it will be Baler again because I acquired motion sickness from the trip. Maybe somewhere else, that's when our pockets will allow. 😁
