Hello friends,

It's another episode in my blog, welcome. Trust all is going well with you. Just like food is one thing no one can do without, we eat on a regular and we will still be eating as long as the earth remains. Today's topic sounds really interesting and I love it already.

We are looking at "Famous Street Foods in your Place." Oh! There are a whole lot of street food in my place, although I am one person that dislike eating outside my home. I love preparing what I eat because I just believe that no one does it better buy me. I love cooking so much and it has been helping me dictate tasty foods and non tasty foods.

Just because I love preparing my meals, does not mean there are no good cooks out there. I know of some people who cooks better than I do, but still, I enjoy my meal and if you try it, you come back for the second plate. My friend can attest to it 😋.

Some time last year, I discovered a local eatery where a lot of crowd comes both in the morning and in the afternoon. I have never tasted their meal, infact I didn't know there's a place like that close to me. The owner of the place lives there with her children and they all join hands together to make it a reality.

The joint does not have a name, reasons I don't know. This woman with her children wakes as early as 4am Nigeria time, to start preparing for the morning section. This woman prepares white rice, stew, beans, fried plantain, spaghetti in the morning, and in the afternoon, she prepares jollof rice only. After asking people about her meal, I decided to try it out one day. I noticed her meal tastes natural, like pure natural, no sweetener, no spice, all ingredients are just natural. That was how I started enjoying her meal.

List of some ingredients she uses

Crayfish (enough)
Onions
Oil
Green beans
Carrots
Meat/ fish
Liver
Fresh Tomatoes
Bay leaf
Pepper

Since everyone's cooking procedures differs, I might not get the exact way through which the woman prepares her meals, but I can only give my own procedures of how I cook at my home.

For the white rice and stew

Measure the quantity of rice you wish to prepare in a bowl.
Turn it into a pot, add water and set on fire for about 10mins.
Pour out the rice into a sieve and wash it well.
Now place a pot of water on fire, cover to boil.
Pour the parboiled rice into the boiling water, add little carrots and green beans and cover to boil.
While waiting for the rice, get the stew ingredients ready.
Blend your onions, tomatoes, pepper and crayfish.
By now, the boiling rice must be ready, set it aside and continue.
Wash your meat, put it in a pot and add your thyme, then set it on fire to start boiling. (Do not add water).

Place an empty pot on fire, add desired amount of oil, allow to heat and add your blended onions, tomatoes and pepper. Continue to stir to your desired texture.
Add your meat and salt to taste, stir and allow to boil for 1 minute. wala!,, your meal is ready to be served.

For the Jollof rice

Measure your desired quantity if rice to be cooked.
Turn into a pot and add water, set it on fire to boil.
After about 10 mins, sieve it out and wash.
Scope a portion of the stew into a different pot, add the remaining ingredients (carrots, green beans, bay leaf, liver, salt to taste) cover the pot and allow to boil.
Pour the parboiled rice into the boiling pot, stir and check for taste.
Cover to boil until water dries. Food is ready!

A friend of mine visited and I introduced her to the woman and she almost lived in the woman's house because of her tasty meal. A lot of people come from afar to eat her food, nit because there are no other place around, but because her food is topnotch.
