The Diary Game Season 3 (06-Sept-21) | The mom-gineer

Being a working mom and a stay-at-home mom are both challenging and rewarding and I just happen to juggle both.

I am an Engineer and a mother of a one-year-old baby girl who’s staying with me here on site because we technically live in the site. Hehehe Well, our site has already two finished buildings and we live in the second building.

Today, Monday, is the most hectic day of my weekly schedule. Monday is the day for reports, updates, and setting of meetings. Countless of calls are logged and countless of emails are sent every Monday.

But today has to be the most (I mean it) Monday so far. I am super loaded with work plus my daughter’s feeling feverish (probably because of her teeth). Today my mind is all over the place. Thankfully, I live just a few steps away. So on short breaks, I can easily ran home to check on my baby. Though she has a very reliable babysitter, I just can’t miss checking on my daughter at least twice a day.

Today is also the day I got verified as a member of our community and the day I finally came back to steemit after 2 years of hiatus.

I woke up 4am in the morning today and that’s when I wrote my verification post. I then started my morning routine at 6:30am - taking a bath and preparing for breakfast. And by 7:30am, my daughter had awaken with a fever. I fed her before her babysitter came and she literally just allowed me to feed her and gave her meds without whining and crying. I am indeed blessed for having such a well-behaved baby. She has never given me a hard time starting on the day I gave birth.

I clocked in at 8am and immediately started on my weekly reports. I and my workmate slash best friend finished the reports few minutes before lunch break. The reports got delayed because of some updates that were not given and delivered on time. We did so many follow up calls that I almost mistaken our jobs as customer representatives. Kidding aside.

By lunch break, I checked on my baby who’s still feeling feverish. I prepared lunch, well, I just actually did heat up the food I already prepared in the morning. I fed my baby, I also ate a bit, and then fled back to work before 1pm. When I went back to the office, it was almost time for me to liquidate our petty cash. It was just the half day yet I felt very exhausted already plus the rain makes it even more hard to boost up my energy.

Do you guys feel that vibe during rainy season too?

Late afternoon came and some sweets just arrived at our office given by one of our generous clients.

With the busy schedule, I almost didn’t notice that the clock struck 5:30pm already and it’s time to clock out hmm also the time for mom-duties.

My daughter’s babysitter would bring my daughter in my office every 5:30pm as she goes home. This is because sometimes I really can’t go home every 5:30pm but my daughter’s babysitter has to go home on time as she also has children to feed in their home.

I got to get home today at 6:30pm (I spent an extra hour at the office again) because I had to do some preparations for tomorrow. And when I and my daughter got home it was dinner time. I prepared some veggies and fruits but she only touched the sliced yellow watermelon.

After dinner I spent time playing with her as she seemed to be really enjoying her cloth books. I read her story books and put her to sleep at 9pm.

I finally had time for myself but I decided to spend it doing laundry. Hahaha One of the few things that makes me happy is finishing my laundry. Hahaha I’ve finally reached to the point where finishing chores is as rewarding as finishing a bag of chips.

I finished all the chores around 11:40pm and finally decided to write my entry for #thediarygame #season3 and I hope this counts in as an official entry.

And now before I end my blog, allow me to thank @junebride for successfully bringing me back here in this platform. She is an amazing mother of a wonderful baby boy and I have always looked up to her especially in photography. She’s one of the friends I made since 2018 in this platform and I am so grateful meeting her.

Also, I would like to thank @smaeunabs. She is the very reason why I started blogging last 2017. She is one of my beautiful and talented friends. And God knows how much I miss her. She is very funny, friendly, and wise. She has taught me so much and I’m looking forward to one day meeting her again.

And of course, I am waiting for @jonnahmatias1016 to make her comeback. We have exchanged our thoughts on many crypto-based platforms and she mentioned to me that she wants to blog again here in our platform. I am just excited to see her again here and reminisce our good old days writing blogs as workmates.
