My Steem Power-up - Steemit Philippines Community 2nd #SPUD4STEEM Contest | Contest Date: OCTOBER 1, 2021

Yuhuu guys! I have done it!!!

I am again participating in @kiwiscanfly´s initiative campaigning for the #SPUD4STEEM. I traded my Hive Dollars at Bittrex in exchange for 109 Steem. And I am powering-up the 109 Steem to add to my SP balance.

I have been saving my Hive dollars each time I get my post reward for future trading of alts, but then I thought, why not get some Steem tokens and power it up!!! In the span of about 2 weeks I was able to fill my HBD account on Bittrex and part of it was used to buy Steem.

The rest were used to buy ALGO token because the value of this token dipped. As of this writing, the value of BTC has increased by 12.7% ( Ref. Coingecko) and so I was able to buy Steem last night before BTC went soaring today. So here I am doing exactly what others are doing today...POWER-UP!

As you can see in the image above, my Steem Power has a balance of 400.379 Steem. Now I have powered-up the 109 Steem. By powering-up, this will help me get more rewards for my contents, the higher the SP, the more reward value my post will be whenever it gets curated. By staking Steem, other users will also benefit on this with regards to their rewards.

The AFTER Balance of my SP account now became = 509. 405 Steem . The cents have increased too as Steem was affected by the increase of BTC value.

No matter what amounts you have to power-up, it does not matter. Imagine if a hundred thousand Steem users like us are also powering-up today, then all SP will accumulate and will help the blockchain´s ecosystem to be stable.
