Happy Palm Sunday everyone and to all my fellow steemians here in Steemit Philippines community.

Let me share to you my special activity today. It's a rainy Sunday. As much as possible we tried to go to church to attend the holy mass. Most specially today because it's a Palm Sunday. In a Roman Catholic faith Palm Sunday is one of the special day as a start of the holy week celebration.

It's so cold morning but still I took a bath and after that I drink my milk with hot bread to warm up my tummy. We will be attending the 8am holy mass schedule. Though, I don't like to go out because the rain never stop but my wants to attend the mass dominates. So we were moving outside with the rain. When we arrived at the church many vendors outside were selling assembled cross made of coconut palm leaves we called it locally as "bindita sa lukay". I bought two pieces for my two doors at home. Our normal practice is to put it to our doors after it was blessed by the priest.

We attended the mass. The blessing of all these palm leaves is right after the holy mass celebration. The people stayed in their position to wait for the priest to go around inside the church to blessed all the palm leaves that everyone brings. I'm also happy to see my son who assisted the priest in blessing ceremony. My son is a senior altar server for more than 3 years in our parish.

After that, we go home and the rain seems don't want to stop these days so we got home a little bit wet. But it's ok as long as we've done our Sunday mass obligation and to have my bindita sa lukay. When we arrived at our house I immediately put our bindita sa lukay in front of our doors.

Holy week is the most important of all church celebration in our Christian Catholic faith. It's time of examining ourselves and our relationship with God and to others as well. Attending in church activities is our way of sacrifice during Holy Week and offer our intensive prayers. Thus, it's a good feeling and a fulfillment afterwards.
