Good evening everyone, this is my 3rd entry for the Diary Game although my first and second were submitted 3 months ago and I think that was Week 2 and now it’s already Week 13. So this is like a comeback after some time being away.

I’m glad to be here again and will do my best to participate more often especially when there is something significant that I did on one specific day.

SAD NEWS

So it was last Saturday when we heard the sad news about one of our high school classmates who passed away due to cancer.

Fortunately, they live in the same city so it was convenient for me to visit them.

BRIEF HISTORY

Our classmate suffered from a tumor for maybe about 3 years already. He has undergone a series of operations that he was able to overcome.

He also submitted himself for chemotherapy and because of his health condition he lost his job in August last year.

It was last Saturday when his family wanted to bring him to the hospital seeing him in serious condition. But he refused.
Until his few hours in this world, he was thinking that his family won’t see him anymore if he will agree to be sent to the hospital, because he was thinking that since he has prolonged cough due to the inflammation in his lungs (his doctor said that the cancer cells in his brain go down to his lungs already), he might be considered a covid19 patient.

Not really sure if it’s true but there are complaints that even if the cause of death is not covid19, the hospital will declare it is that is why a lot of patients are hesitant to go to the hospital.

What we did

So after hearing of his passing away, we announced in our Batch FB chatroom that he already died and we need to contribute so we could at least share some amount with the family.

Fortunately, we were able to collect a total of 8,000 pesos coming from classmates who are already located in different parts of the world. Thanks to FB and Gcash, everything is made easy.

After our visit, we had a little chat and snacks in our pizza haus planning for our next project. The batch had planned to support one or two kids of our batch who cannot afford to send them to school. Hopefully, we could realize this project for us to leave a legacy.
