Christmas is in the air, and it started way back September 1st when the king of Christmas Carols started to sing on air whose songs became the season’s anthem in households, malls, radios, jeepneys and basically anywhere you go.

I guess you know who I am referring to. In fact as early as August people tend to sing his iconic Christmas music even if it was not “ber” months yet.

Perhaps the reason was because there were a lot of memes featuring the warm smiling face of Jose Mari Chan that came out over the internet or social medias. It’s like when we begin to hear his Christmas songs over radios or TV’s then it means Christmas is already here.

LOOKING BACK

For Christians being able to celebrate Christmas with loved ones is their utmost desire or shall I say supposedly their top priority. But not all realizes that dream. I am talking about those oversees Filipino workers who are working away from their families.

Since they are needed in their workplace not all of them can get the chance to take a vacation during Christmas. I can relate to that because I’ve been in same situation not just once but thrice. I work abroad for a total of 10 years although it’s not straight. I get to visit my family back home every year but not always during the holiday season.

I remember when it’s not my turn to go home during Christmas, my officemates would organize a simple celebration just to feel the spirit of Christmas even if were not in the Philippines (we worked in the Middle East and obviously Christmas is not celebrated there).

So we would sing all night and Jose Mari Chan’s songs were our favorite especially Christmas in our Hearts and A Perfect Christmas and of course, the song I'm about to share with you right now is also a personal favorite.

I’m not a singer so it took me a million times recording this before I decided to share it to public LOL.
