Lapu Lapu (First Filipino Hero) Digital Art! [Also Powered Up 15 steem]

Hello, Steemians! I'm finally returned after a lengthy absence, this time not as a country representative but more likely to contribute to graphics and artworks not only in the Philippines community but throughout this platform.

Hello, Steemians! Sa wakas ay nakabalik ako pagkatapos ng mahabang bakasyon, sa pagkakataong ito hindi bilang isang country rep ngunit mas malamang na mag-ambag sa mga graphic at likhang sining hindi lamang sa komunidad ng Pilipinas kundi sa buong platform na ito.

As this is my first post after a long while then it should be something related to first as well. With that my first artwork is Lapu-Lapu who is also retroactively considered as the First Filipino hero. The Portuguese conquistador Ferdinand Magellan and his army were famously routed by Lapu-Lapu, the first Filipino hero, during their effort to colonize Mactan Island. Lapu-monument, Lapu's which now stands erect on the island of Mactan in recognition of his victory, represents the nation's first effective resistance against Spanish colonization. reference

Dahil ito din ang aking unang post pagkatapos ng mahabang panahon siguro mas magandang related din sa word na "una o first" ang aking gagawin. Sa pamamagitan nito, ang aking unang likhang sining ay si Lapu-Lapu na itinuturing ding unang bayaning Pilipino. Ang mananakop na Portuges na si Ferdinand Magellan at ang kanyang hukbo ay tanyag na natalo ni Lapu-Lapu, ang unang bayaning Pilipino, sa kanilang pagsisikap na kolonihin ang Isla ng Mactan. Ang monumento ni Lapu, na ngayon ay nakatayo nang tuwid sa isla ng Mactan bilang pagkilala sa kanyang tagumpay, ay kumakatawan sa unang epektibong paglaban ng bansa laban sa kolonisasyon ng mga Espanyol.

However less is known about the man and mythology known as Lapu-Lapu, except from the fact that he successfully resisted foreign invasions. Culture Trip strives to provide a portrait of this Philippine hero and the occasions that influenced the destiny of the country by using academic research and historical records.

Gayunpaman mas kaunti ang nalalaman tungkol sa kanya at mitolohiya na kilala bilang si Lapu-Lapu, maliban sa katotohanan na matagumpay niyang nalabanan ang mga pagsalakay ng dayuhan. Nagsusumikap ang Culture Trip na magbigay ng larawan ng bayaning ito ng Pilipinas at ang mga okasyong nakaimpluwensya sa kapalaran ng bansa sa pamamagitan ng paggamit ng akademikong pananaliksik at mga talaang pangkasaysayan.reference

Anyway without further ado here is the drawing process of my artwork!

- I started with a preliminary sketch that would act as a guide for the lineart.

- Then after that I draw the features of Lapulapu's whole body.

- Next is I sketched the final form of the lineart.

- After that is just coloring each part of the whole figure.

- Then last is the details by adding shadows, highlights and necessary lines for a complete artwork.
