One of the most delicate challenges in starting a new launch in our life is the “ literacy process” or the “ adaption stage”. To know Steemit is not enough, we need mentoring. Indeed, it requires a lot of work in learning how the platform works. One also needs to do inquisition, find ways, groups, or communities that can motivate you in your Steemit journey.

I've met many newcomers who only ended in submitting their verification posts and have not progressed any longer. What a waste of our invites if they just stop there, they might be a possible competitive author in the future.

Our first intention in making a Steemit account is to earn. For it's their banner “ blog and earn”, but please be reminded that this platform is not all about earning or easy moneybags. You have to take action and determinations as you move forward on your new path. As a member of the Greeters Team in Newcomers Community, I am making this post to help newbies gain ideas on how to condition themselves and put up their accounts and grow their Steem power.

1. Complete your Achievement Tasks
One of the largest lapses of Newcomers isn't completing their Achievement Tasks. Some even aren't submitting a Verification post in Newcomers Community. This task has 6 Achievements you may confer with this link.

Each Achievement has different categories which will teach you vital pieces of data and tools that you simply need altogether on your Steemit posts. Once you're verified until Achievement 4, then you may apply for the 500SP Minnow Support Program for Newcomers within the Newcomers Community. This program alone is already an enormous help for they're going to submit your posts for the curator's upvote until you've got a 500SP. We've known that some communities require each member to delegate Sp for them to think about you as a member. You may as well mention me @juichi or @fabio2614 , we are a member of the Steem Greeters Team, and our duty is to verify all the Achievement Tasks for Filipino users. If you've got reached 500 Steem Power then you'll have bigger mana credits and this may give value to your upvotes.

2. Communication and Engagement
As I observed Beginners in our community will just visit and post their compositions, and just hold on for upvotes without indeed taking time to engage in the community and fellow authors. How can you have followers if you're only doing that? That's why every time I validate beginners I'll always remind them to make some engagement and interaction within the community for them to have followers too. How lonely our account be if we do not have followers, right? We know that It's relatively inconvenient on our side to make some comments since we do not know some members personally, but utmost people here are friendly and accommodating.
We aim to succeed in reaching out every member and to allow them to feel comfortable in Steemit Philippines. So, cheer with us!

3. Be Active
Utmost of the communities will produce a contest to interact among the users and help them to earn. Like in Steemit Philippinesweekly we initiate different contests for our members to remain active. Explore communities across the Steemit platform in your likes and niches. There's a list of registered communities that may fit your interest like Steem Foods for your recipes, Steem Skillshare for you to learn or partake your expertise, Steemit Crypto Academy for cryptocurrency assignments and a lot further. By joining those communities it'll give you a chance to be known and gain followers.

One of the common misconceptions while on this platform is “ easy reward”. Please bear in mind that Steemit doesn't promise to ensure rewards every time you post. You need to work for it! Unless you've got support from those so-called “ whales” or we could say those who invested their voluminous dollars. But also again, they do not promise to support you throughout your Steemit trip.

4. Produce a Quality Content
To post an image alone is not considered as a “ quality post”. The protocol of Steemit is to write a composition that contains further than 300 words. Make intriguing stories that your audience will learn substance from you. Once you add some photo, make them presentable too. Some Beginners will simply add photo without considering about its standard.

Strive to enhance your composition. You can also use Canva to help you in editing your images and Grammarly to automatically correct your spelling and paragraphing. I have been using those apps and it has free features.

5. Power Up and join#club5050
After subscribing up to Steemit, users will only be given limited mana, meaning you only have limited moves. Making a post or remarking on other posts has each corresponding credits (mana). That's why I'm asking you to complete the Achievement tasks listed above for you to earn Steem power as your first capital. Also power-up. In an association it isn't wise to keep on taking without giving, I mean, how can a certain platform survive if you keep on digging their funds?

Generally, powering up Steem is tough for the Beginners for this is frequently not their first option, but has greatly forthright results for those floundering newbies. As you've got observed most account that features a bigger steem power are the one who always received a decent upvote from the curators. Utmost of the beginners may have not known yet what happened to Steemit recently, wherein the Steem value drops until it's nearly lost its value. This platform isn't a dependable source for a living, yet this is a promising investment social media platform wherein we can be called investors by simply powering up that may lead us to have monetary freedom in the future, who knows?.

Newbies with this type of outlook will substantially succeed on this platform. But those that came just to earn and drain every single Steem that they earn substantially get disappointed and leave. However, one of the easy ways is to buy steem in some exchange like Bittrex or you can ask for a delegation from your friend or in communities if you want to have Steem without depending on your payout.

Powering up opens you tons of advantages especially if you plan to commit to#club5050, this suggests that half of your power-up corresponds to your Sbd or steem withdrawal for the last 30 days. This is your stepping stone as newbies to encourage rewards from curators.

As I mention above join any competition for you to earn steem and be consistent in posting. Beyond that, this will also show how responsible you're as a member of the Steemit platform and you might gain the attention of the curators. Though you might hear some negative feedback about this program, I can attest that this program too way salutary to all.

Here are some of my articles that may help you on your Steemit journey,

I am hoping that Newcomers will be familiarized with how this platform works and master themselves in building their accounts. If you have some concerns regarding your activities please feel free to reach out to The Steemit Philippines team.

Your article is perfectly and timely @juichi
You are indeed a mentor that can help one grow on this platform.

Everything you said here is an epitome of what newcomers go through, addimiting that i have been a victim of, i almost gave up.

I think most a time, the problem is from those inviting people to join, certain things are not properly explained like powering up.

Thus, it made us feel steemit is just a place to make money.

Thank goodness i know better now, and every SBD or steem i get now, goes to power up.

And of outmost importance now is applying for the 500 minor support. I truly need that now.

Much Love #mentor

You have shared valuable lessons not only for the newcomers but to us who are in the platform already. What I can add here is to enjoy writing and posting. Don't take it to hard, and manage expectations. Love what you do. 🙂

You are right! If we are writing from the heart and determined to learn, then ignore the negativities and we will improve in this platform.😑
