👉🏻#Club75 | THE DIARY GAME | | My Son Was Bitten By Ants And My Neighbor Imitated Him While He Was Crying In Pain
Have a magnificent day, Steemians! How are things going? It's June, and I hope everyone will have a fruitful month ahead.
How would you feel as a parent if your child was being imitated by your neighbor while he was crying in pain?
I heard my son crying in pain this morning while I was washing our clothes in the lavatory. I dropped my laundry and dashed into my son's room to find out what was going on. I picked him up right away and examined his body. I saw several ants on his legs, biting him, causing him to scream in pain and cry aloud. I washed his legs with warm water and then cleaned them with alcohol to prevent infection.
My son cannot speak, so if he feels something in his body, he cries or shakes his head, or if he is itchy, he scratches or moans. He did not stop crying because he was in pain, while our cruel neighbor continued to imitate his crying. Very heartless! He is an executive with children, and yet he behaves that way. To think that one of his twins is also disabled.
A cruel remark here and there turns me into a puddle of icy sludge. Each cruel remark is a shard of ice. My son's godmother once told me that cruelty stems from a brain that has suffered developmental damage, failing to develop adequate empathy to protect oneself and others from such actions. Maybe my neighbor is still in a denial stage
I cleaned his bed and removed his beddings, I moved him to my mother's room. I looked around to see where the ants were coming from. I noticed a crack on our floor and followed it until it led me out the front door. I boiled water, added salt, and sprinkled the crack in the floor all the way outside our house.
After I cleaned everything, I went into my mother's bedroom and lay beside my son to comfort him. Honestly, there is this feeling as if I was being stabbed. I've felt the ups and downs of being the go-to mom for advice and tips. As a special-needs mom, I've learned that every parent does things their own way, and it works for them and their children. Mothers with special needs cannot fit into a single upbringing. The complexities of my son's medical condition, the ever-changing challenges he faces, and the multitude of information I need to know — and remember — make special needs child-rearing a distinct style.
I heard my neighbor reprimand the kids. It appears that the twins were arguing over a toy. At the top of his lungs, he yelled at the two boys. I understand that his disabled son (the other boy is normal) was unaware of what is going on around him. He is suffering from attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). I think he might still be in denial about his son's situation..
My son and I were playing in bed, and I was making faces to make him smile and help him feel better. I felt relieved when he fell asleep, and I told myself that there are stupid people, but they help me get through life. Instead of being angry at him, I took it as a challenge that I would carry with me every day, a sign from the heavens trickling in like a lullaby. I can't tell you what's coming, only that it's a sign of great challenge and great joy, and it could also be a blessing in disguise. The heavens will align for the battle I must fight; the rest is a balancing act between the universe, God, and us.
