In my previous blogs, I have been talking about boosting one's account through power-ups. My purpose is to at least impart what I have also learned from engaging once again in the Steemit community. The campaigns on powering up have now become stronger, which I would say, was not given a powered emphasis years ago, or should I say, I hadn't just been educated enough about powering up, the role it plays, and its importance not just to the individual accounts but to the whole community as well.

Powering up is something one should aim for in Steemit. Yes, it rings true to me, and I believe to everyone around here that it's somewhat not a delight to see an account having a reputation of over 60 with an SP that sucks over time. This has been also addressed by the Dr. of Success, @dobartim in one of his informative articles where he exactly said, "When I see users who have a great reputation over 60 and have very little Steem Power, it tells me that person only thinks about their needs, that they don’t understand the Steem blockchain."

Understanding how the Steem blockchain works falls to be one of the basics one should do. With it, we could atleast relate to how valuable are everything in the blockchain to the betterment of the Steemit community, and act according to how things should be. Many are now talking about how this blockchain works which considers powering up and delegations. Some are even making tutorials on how to do so. So, almost everything we need to know are already here.

In this connection, I would be sharing with you the little progress of my account. For the past years, I had not been growing my SP, and had not been into delegations or what. But now, here's what.

In my earlier weeks of being back, I had been participating in the different contests wherein the prizes are in steem. Luckily, I had won several times and had received steems which I made a practice to convert into Steem Power. This is just one of the better ways I take opportunity of to help me with my powering up project.

Aside from the steem prizes I had received from winning different contests, I also had fixed delegation monthly return from the communities I have delegated some of my SP to. I already had made a number of delegations to different communities. Steemitfoods is just one of them, and it's actually the first community I have made a delegation to.

I believe in the power of delegations. It's somewhat telling me that everyone should not be here for themselves alone. We are in a community, and that we have been supported in many ways - upvotes (no matter what the voting value is, it's still a vote, a support), resteems, and comments. With that, it's just also fitting to return that support to help the community grow to be able to reach more. And I believe delegation is just one of the great things we can do. With the goal of the Steemit team in growing independent communities that could give enough support to its active members, our delegations could go a long way. Moreover, one could never get lost with delegations, aside from it helps the many communities to grow, it also gives you fixed monthly steem return that you could convert to Steem power. However, you still need to invest first in your account to be able to delegate enough. As has always been said, you cannot give what you don't have.

Along with my delegations and the steem prizes I received, I had started to buy an amount of steem for power up purposes. In a span of a more or less 2 months of being active here again, I have accumulated over a hundred steems that I converted into my Steem Power.

While Sbd has been in some cases a better support to some projects, there must be some allocations too for powering up. We could somehow start with even just a little 'til we get the hang of it, that investing in steems with our sbd to power up would become just a normal practice.

This is by far a progress and an achievement on my end. One with the goal of Steemit, let's all grow and start powering up. To conclude, I'll leave you this,
