Wedding of the year - A new beginning for the new couple

Lockdown has hit us hard but who would have thought that in this time of crisis a new beginning is about to start. The beginning of a new married life for my first cousin.

My cousin tied the knots last week with his beloved husband Peejay. The wedding ceremony was held at Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral. But due to the pandemic some rules need to be followed:

• No children allowed - which means that the ring bearer must be at least 15 years old.
• Facemask is a must - everyone involved — the guest and even the bride itself has to wear one.
• Social Distancing - even if we know each other we still need to observe social distancing.

With this added rules for the pandemic, the wedding is a go.

After the wedding ceremony, we then went to the wedding reception at the golden peak hotel. It was a bit of frustrating since we all waited in the hall for about an hour before the program started.

I thought that the program is just like the other wedding that I have attended(kind of boring) but it's not. The emcee totally knows what she's doing and the dj is dope! It's the best wedding I have attended so far.

By the time the program was about to end, I have mixed emotions. Because the bride's(my first cousin) sister was at abroad and cannot go home to attend her beloved sisters big day. My cousin jifloyd and I was asked by the bride's brother to record the whole wedding thing live in facebook. Just thinking about how technology connects us to our loved ones is really great.

In this time of crisis we can still find hope and meaningful things. It may not have yet come to us, but eventually it will.
