Introduction

Hello everyone. I hope you are all having a wonderful week. This is actually the fourth week of the engagement challenge. Which is currently running in this community for some weeks now. It has been a pleasure and an opportunity to be one of it participants.

This week’s topic is quite a fascinating one. This is because i really love talking about food. I really like food too. Which is why i am also going to put out my article on this topic which is famous street food in my locality or community.

The name of the famous street food is locally known as “GOBE”

The name of this popular or famous street food is Gobe, which mostly being eaten by the majority of people here in my locality. It is usually comprised of beans with cassava dough(Gari) and palm oil. But in some cases, this food can be made together with numerous other good ingredients to make it rich and more nutritious. It can be eaten with fried ripped plantain, meat or avocado. Actually the mixture depends on you the individual eating it. In my case, i also like it with some special type of ingredients or additional food stuffs which i will like to state below.

How I like my version of “Gobe” that’s the ingredients required

Boiled beans
palm oil and stew
Ripped plantain
Egg
Fish
Avocado or pear

How it is being prepared or made

Actually preparing my version of “Gobe” is a little bit complex and costly. Unlike the original version which is only beans, palm and cassava dough. The dough actually makes it hard or stiff due to the little water in it so i don’t really like it that’s way.

The steps or procedures

The very first thing one needs to do it to cook his beans. Which normally takes enough time to be well cooked. The egg can also be added into the beans for it to cook too
You then put some oil on the fire and then cut some ripped plantains and then fry them. You can choose to fry the fish as well too.
You will be needing some tomatoes, onions and tomato paste and some spices for the preparation of the stew. The fresh tomatoes are being grind together with the onions and some pepper. After which oil is put on the fire and the all then mentioned ingredients poured into it. After which you keep stirring and checking it out till it is cooked.
The palm oil is being heated to make it hot and taste good.
An avocado will be needed which is actually cut and then served with the rest of the food ingredients.

What is it selling price in steem

Gobe is one of the best and famous street food in the streets of my country and one of the main reasons is that it is less costly. One can afford it with whatever amount of money they have. It is just the combination of different food ingredients that might make it costly for one. The price actually ranges from 2 steem and above.

What makes it famous

Actually what makes it popular is that it very easy and simple to prepare. Also, it is the kind of food that is filled with enough nutrients. Which really is beneficial to the human system. Also it always for one to buy. Due to the cassava dough that most people will like to mix with the beans, it makes it some how heavy and when consumed it takes a while for one to start feeling hungry.
