MY NEW YEAR'S DAY CELEBRATION OF 2023

in Steemit Philippines2 years ago

New year's eve is really big in the Philippines and my whole family, neighborhood, and friends I know of celebrate it big time! But not to where I am now. It's a happy place but new year is not a huge thing. I know some of the state especially those in big cities have fireworks and parties while people waiting for the midnight.

Though I didn't wait for midnight being awake while partying with friends and family but I had my first day of the year fun and well. At 11:54 of the 31st in December, my daughter woke up for milk and I made a bottle for her and that's it. We went back to sleep.

I woke up early to prepare breakfast, clean baby's bottles, and got ready to church. We attended the 9 in the morning service. It was pretty good! Then in the afternoon after putting my child for a nap, I started making dinner for the family. I made stir fried noodles (bam-i) spring rolls, chicken adobo, and pork humba. Sorry no photos for food and people.

It was my first time to cook filipino food for the family of my husband and their first time to try our cuisine. They just love it, and I'm glad!

After dinner I did much of the packing to go back to my husband's parents. So far it was quite and ordinary day for everyone but for me, the cooking I did was already huge for me as a part of celebrating the new year's day.

I can remember way back in the Philippines and I was younger, we usually go to the beach with the whole clan and neighbors. We brought our food leftovers from the midnight. People flock to the beach anywhere in the island. Pictures here and there. Mine this year was captivating scenery outside the house where I spent holidays with. It was gorgeous! And I think by that gorgeous sky it tells me life ahead is exciting and beautiful.

That's how my new year celebration for this year all about. Quiet but still good! How was your new year's eve celebration @traderpaw @jaofran @sweetspicy. I'm looking forward to see you again.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!

Wow, ang gandang tignan po ng mga hot air balloon...gusto ko din makita yan sa malapitan... Mabuti po na nakapag luto ka ng mga Filipino food sa family ng iyong husband at ng ma try nila ang mga masasarap nating pagkain. Happy New Year po and God Bless! 😇

Thanks for sharing your New Year's Eve celebration with us! It sounds like you had a lovely and peaceful day, starting with a special moment with your daughter at midnight and then cooking a delicious Filipino meal for your husband's family. It's great that they enjoyed trying your cuisine, and it's always special to have the opportunity to share a part of your culture with others. The scenery outside your house sounds beautiful as well, and I hope the rest of the year is just as exciting and beautiful for you.
