Steemit Philippines- Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 8 (Week 1):"The Power of Social Media"

Hope all is safe and good!!!

Now I am joining the challenge here in Steemit Philippines- Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 8 (Week 1) : "The Power of Social Media".

First I wanted to thank sis @gemeex for mentioning and inviting me to join the said challenge. As I read her article lot's of ideas that came into my mind, about this topic. I do wanted to share what are my thoughts negatives and positive about social media. And before we start let me invite first some.of my friends to join also the said challenge @shikika, @me2selah, @fherdz. So now let's start.

I started exploring social when I was in college. Since my course is related to it. I'm a graduate of Associate in Computer Technology a 2 years course under Bachelor of Computer Science. So the first thing we did that time is to create our personal emails, which that time it's Yahoo Mail. So my first social media account was yahoo mail. Then followed byFriendster and now Facebook, Gmail, Steemit, Twitter, Hive, Tiktok and more.

As what sis @gemeex I also opened this social media in a computer shop because my phone that time was only a keypad. So I went to an internet cafe to open facebook and my yahoo mail if I have projects that need to be pass on my instructor.

Honestly, at first I don't know how to used friendster. All I know is to log in browse and upload photos to store pictures as a memories. So that later on I can reminisce it. And also using social media like tiktok is also one of my stress reliever. I always follow the dance challenge trend if I know that dance. It keeps me happy and feel relieved and forgot my problems for awhile. Here's the screenshot of my tiktok dance.

Social Media has good and bad definition to me. Good because I can communicate my love ones easily even though I don't have there cellphone numbers and some are far, specifically who are outside the Philippines. And aside from communications it can also helps us know what is happening in the world. And ofcourse all of this will be good if you used it in a right way.

"But sad to say in every good there is always bad. "

The Bad thing about it is that when we used social media in a bad way. One of this is that when you are using this as a weapon to fight someone you hate. and some also uses this to prank someone, that other's find it funny but to the one who is being pranked is somewhat like it's bullying. Other's too make this as there personal interest to make bad just to earn money example of it was cybercrime.

That's all I think for now about using social media in a bad way. But I know there is still more. I know also that you knew something else too.

In this entry that I've shared can give you lesson even in just a little. And before I ended this article I want to left a sayings that a computer graduate learned before we left our alma mater. This saying is applicable here in social media.
