Hello, have a lovely day Steemians! It's a rainy first month of this year but indeed, God is so good even up to this year 2023.

For thirteen years of celebrating new year, three years of that from that year was with my family celebrated together, the rest year was none. Why? Because I have to work to help them, and to study at the same time for my future as well. Everytime the new year has come and I am not be able to went back home, all I did was locked up to my room and cried.

Last year 2022 I was in Bukidnon, and yes! That was a hurtful moment again and again celebrated a new year without my family. That time when the countdown began, and when the fireworks displayed, as usual, I was in my room, hearing the noises of the surrounding, watching at windows to the family who celebrated together, then cried for longging. I cried to thank God that even I am far from my family, He still strengthen me, protected me and comfort me and made me strong. I worship Him at 12:00 am up to 1am.

But in this year 2023, I am so much blessed and enjoy because I am celebrating new year with my family, though we are not complete yet my happiness bursted out. Many had chatted me to join their new year celebration but I refused and stayed celebrated this year with my family because it is seldom for me to happen.

Our preparation and celebration is a kind of simple. Because my five brothers are not around, I and my parents prepared a food that is enough for us to consume that night.

As the countdown begin, I and my family shouted together and make some noise of fireworks then we ate the food we prepared.

After we ate, I got inside the room and began to pray, praising God for His goodness, mercy, and love and thanking Him for the fullness of joy He let us to experienced.

This is how I celebrated the year end and how I welcomed this year 2023.
