I just want to share this digital drawing I just finished today and just want to talk about the recently concluded pageant in the Philippines - the Miss Universe Philippines in which a proud Cebuana, won the crown and will represent the Philippines in the Miss Universe.
The coronation of the Miss Universe Philippines was held last September 30, 2021. And Miss Beatrice Luigi Gomes who represented Cebu City was the crowned winner. She is a model, military sergeant, community worker and a proud Cebuana from San Fernando, Cebu.
She is also a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community. She is the first Filipina who opened up about her sexuality as a bisexual woman. She currently has a girlfriend, and their sweet and romantic photos together are openly shared online. In her interview, she said that the Philippines is ready to take her kind to the Universe.
After winning the crown, I search for a reference photo on google to give tribute for the pride she has given to Cebu and to the Philippines in the upcoming Miss Universe Pageant. Good luck, Bea and come home as a victor!
Now let me share to you the finished digital painting and a gif of the process. I hope you will like this.
I used a software called procreate to digitally paint our Miss Universe Philippines 2021. I used different brushes such as procreate brush for sketching, spectra for painting, and used a blending tool called "old skin" and "fine hair" for the skin and hair respectively. All these brushes are default brushes in the procreate app when you install it.
