Alam n'yo ba na inanunsyo ng ating mga regulator na madedelay ang pag-publish ng legal framework para sa crypto industry? 😲 Yes, mga kaibigan, hindi ito fake news! Na-postpone muna ang original na plano na ilabas ito noong late 2022.
Bakit kamo? Kasi na-realize nila na hindi dapat minamadali ang mga ganitong bagay. 💡🧐 Mayroon kasing mga major market failures na naganap noong 2022, kaya gusto nilang pag-aralan muna lahat ng aspeto para maiwasan ang mga ganitong problema sa hinaharap.
Narinig ko ito mismo kay chairman Emilio Aquino ng Philippines Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) na ibinalita niya sa isang local media outlet. 😮 According to kuya Emilio, hindi pa rin naman sarado ang pinto para sa crypto framework. 🚪🔑 Naiintindihan niya na kinakailangan lang talagang siguraduhin na hindi mapapahamak ang ating mga investors. 💕👍
Sa katunayan, nagtulungan pa ang SEC at ang University of the Philippines Law Center (UPLC) para gumawa ng guidelines para sa digital assets. 🤓📚 Noong January 2023, ini-release nila ang Implementing Rules and Regulations of Republic Act No. 11765 for public comment. Super exciting 'di ba? Pero parang may kulang... Wala kasing direct mention about sa "crypto" o "blockchain" sa act na ito. Hmm...🤔
Hindi rin maitatanggi na may pressure na nararamdaman ang crypto industry dito sa Pilipinas. 😰💦 Pinapayuhan ng ating central bank ang mga citizens na iwasan ang operations with unregistered or foreign crypto exchanges. Parehas din ang pananaw ng SEC dito. Noong May 2023, tinawag nila ang Gemini Derivatives as an unregistered security product under national law. 😱💥
