The Diary Game Season 3 06/017/2012; "RECYCLING DAY"
Dear Diary,
Dear diary,it's the 17 th day of the month of June and I can't believe were halfway through the year.Even if we have gone these far,corona virus is still around the corner,so I was hoping that all is well and that everyone is in good shape now.Its undeniable that we miss so many things and lose so much in these health crisis.I felt bad most especially to the kids who got stuck in there homes.I have 2 nieces,AJ,3 and Liam at 2,I felt sorry for them because they cany go else where,they were in these toddler stage where they get so curious of things but sadly cant because of the situation,even if we tried to make there days productive by playing and teaching ABC's still at some point there is still something missing.So we decided to get them a pet,a fish pet whom AJ called "Reddy".It was there very first pet and they were delighted to see the fish but the problem is we don't have an aquarium for the fish,so we find a way around to turn something that we can use as a temporary tank for the fish.
It's Recycling Time!
A friend,@marlon82, a fish lover told me that an empty bottle of liquor would be just fine if the fish doesn't come from an aquarium because if it does it would die soon,there's a big difference if the fish first habitat is an aquarium with oxygen pump and transferred to an ordinary tank it would not survive,they are more vulnerable and stressed without the oxygen pumps and filters.Good thing what we have is a fighting fish with a high chance of survival since we don't have the resources and knowledge to have a legit aquarium so we look for an empty bottles of brandy,the round elongated one,clean and brush it inside out.
Kuya also told me hack on how to cut the bottles to make it look more presentable but I prefer not to because the process involves flame.We sun dried the bottles and put the fish afterwards.
We would take it from here,these is an experiment on how to the kids would react about having a pet,so far Aj is so excited with the idea of owning a pet,she seems to care,she always ask me when we would feed the fish and even expresses her on feeling afraid if the fish might get hungry.
Kuya Marlon also give me a couple of aquarium snails,we put two in the fish tank to help make the tank clean and to accompany the fish.I also had some in another bottle to breed some snails,Im quite fascinated with these critters,there low maintenance and extremely easy to take care of.
*These whole idea of having a pet is for the kids to be introduce to something new and teach them to take care of another being,we like to start early and see if they would really care for another being.Thats it for today.
