Contest 1: Fiction Story: "Who was in the backyard?"

WHO WAS IN THE BACKYARD

Hi guys, great people of steemit and the wonderful people of India speaks community how are you all doing I hope all is well. Today I will be talking part in a challenge competition organized in this amazing community by @dove11 who have challenge us to compose and write a fictional story on the topic "who was in the backyard". Which I will do my best to present a story that will be of interest to you all. I will be sharing with you guys a story of Thomas Samuel and his son which happened many years ago in a small town in south south Nigeria.

The family of Mr/Mrs Thomas Samuel had only a son and they were leaving in akwa ibom state Nigeria, their son John Thomas Samuel was 15 years old and Mrs Sarah Thomas Samuel was a business woman while Mr Thomas Samuel was a poultry farmer.

The family of Mr/Mrs Thomas Samuel was an average size family who really like to socialize with the people around them and were so nice with their neighbors Mr/Mrs Michael Jude, Mrs Thomas Samuel who was a business woman that was into selling of ladies clothes in the commercial markets.

One early morning 🌅 it was about 5:30am in the morning and Mrs Sarah Thomas had already woke up so as to prepare and go to the market, her husband Mr Thomas Samuel was still and bed and her son John Thomas was also still in bed. At about 6:45am Mrs Sarah Thomas had already finished with the house choirs and had already prepared her husband and her son meal and kept in place, so she called her son John to wake up so that he won't be late for school.

So as she was calling her son John to wake up her voice also woke her husband Mr Thomas Samuel, so John woke up "mummy good morning" he said and his mother replied saying "morning dear". Then she immediately said please John tidy up the kitchen for me and sweep the house before your father wakes up.

As she was about to leave for the market she went into the room and greeted her husband Mr Thomas "good morning my love" she said and told him that she is about to leave for the market and that today is big market day and she will be coming back the next day and that his food is in the kitchen and then she kiss him before leaving.

Sharp 7:30am Mr Thomas was awake and went to check on his poultry farm and John was all set for school "daddy bye bye" he said before leaving, his school was about 10km away from their house 🏡.

Mr Thomas Samuel was still in his poultry farm he swept and gathered all the chickens waste products together with the saw dust and pack them in a bag to sell as manures to farmers, the he spread in a new saw dust to make the chickens comfortable before feeding them with their food and water.

After Mr Thomas was done with feeding the chickens he went inside to have his bath and then eat the food his wife prepared for him. Before calling to tell the farmers that the manures is ready for pickup.

After some time it was 2:35pm and John was back from school "daddy Good afternoon" he said and his father replied saying "afternoon my son", and told him that his food is on the table. And instruct him to wash his uniform 🥋 and after that takes a ciester (afternoon nap) then after that reads his books which his son did just that.

5:30pm in the evening 🌆 the farmer came to buy and pick up the manure for his water leaf farm, around 8:00pm after Mr Thomas have finished preparing the evening meal which they both ate. It was full moon and Mr Thomas and his son were sitting in the backyard where his poultry farm was near, while John was inside playing video game then suddenly Mr Thomas was feeling sleepy and then he went inside. Then after John had finished playing his video (on mobile phone) he went outside to the backyard to pee before going to bed.

But as he was outside peeing he heard something and the chickens were making noise nut he thought that it was his father Mr Thomas so said daddy but there was no reply then immediately he became scared and ran back inside to his father's room and said daddy some one is in the backyard.

Then Mr Thomas immediately stood up pick up his torch light 🕯️ and the both went to the backyard on stealth mood (timing mode) as they got there he immediately turned on his torch light and point at his poultry farm and worked close to it but didn't see any body rather the chickens were all scattered around the poultry floor and there were all awake instead of gathering one place and sleep as they used to, so Mr Thomas point his torch 🔦 light at the chickens and try to count them to check if any one is missing as he and his son John was counting and they torch 🔦 beam was moving slowly and all of the sudden they both saw a big python (snake) and there both shouted and it woke Mr Michael Jude their neighbor, at the same time Mr Thomas asked John his son to bring him his matchet which John did and Mr Michael came running to Mr Thomas in the backyard asking what the problem is and immediately Mr Thomas showed him the snake in the poultry farm and the both killed the snake 🐍 and his chickens were all save.
