Hello Steem Friends,

How are you all? I hope everybody is doing great in their life. I have recently attended a marriage ceremony in a village. I wanted to share my experience of visiting this village and the ceremony I attended.

This is a really old village. So, the picture you are going to see will show you old houses, old places, and old traditions that are still followed by many people living in these villages.

The marriage ceremony was attended by my mother and me. We left our home early in the morning and reached the location before the procession started. I was really excited to see everything as in the urban areas, there is too much noise and too many things are happening simultaneously. In the village areas, you can witness things in peace and enjoy things.

When we reached the village, I was greeted by this beautiful tree. I felt greeted because the moment I saw this tree, my eyes, and my mind could not focus on other things near it. I really loved that there were more flowers than there were leaves on the tree.

Then we were trying to reach the marriage venue, and on the way, I came across these beautiful old houses. Even though it might look like they will collapse the time you enter them. But I can assure you that the houses are really strong and they are in this situation for the past few years.

After reaching the venue, I met these two beautiful souls. This horse and dog are the pets of the groom and they are very friendly. But because I was face to face with the horse for the first time, I could not get the picture in detail. But the dog was really cooperative, and I could take a good picture.

During the ceremony, I did not click any pictures because the bride’s family did not allow any person to take the pictures. So, I went out of the marriage venue to take a few selfies.

I also came across a shaved ice vendor. These are very liked by everybody in the summers and we can get them in many flavors. I bought mixed flavor shaved ice. It had a green mango and a ripe mango flavored syrup on the shaved ice.

This cost 100 INR, which is equivalent to 5 Steem approximately.

After the marriage ceremony was over, I took a couple of pictures of the bride and groom. I really loved the dresses both the bride and groom were wearing.

I also was told by one of the attendees from the village that the village is famous for an old tradition, and I should see it.

We went to their house and saw this hand weaving machine. This machine is used to weave very thin shawls, that are used by ladies in the winters. Due to them being very thin, ladies like to carry them on their shoulders, and when the winters get too cold, they are used to keep the body warm. The thread that is used for these shawls is made from sheep wool that is found in the area.

And, this is the end-product of this machine.

I hope you liked watching and reading my diary entry. Thank you.
