Citizen Science: Project FeederWatch -- Week #06 Report 2021-2022 Season

in Birding / Wildlife3 years ago

This weeks featured birds are a Downy Woodpecker and White-breasted Nuthatch. How do you like to eat shelled peanuts? These two birds have their own preferred ways of eating shelled peanuts.

I typically watch birds on Saturday and Sunday. This is my report for 11-12 December 2021.

Awesome shots of Downy Woodpeckers! You captured them perfectly dear sir Mike. Sorry I'm late for this post.

Hello @etcmike… Here we have one very similar to the second of your photos, it is a little bigger and we call it a tile.

Doing great work.

Greetings @etcmike, that white chest has a very attractive blue and white contrast. Good catch.

Hi @etcmike, I hadn't seen this one, I've seen one with a similar name but it's brown with a white chest.

It is fascinating that similar yet different birds can be found in various part of the world.

Steem on,
Mike
