Contest: Heart Attack

These two words are very well known to many people, some of us have some relatives who had once or maybe many times. Other suffered from heart attack and died early, often it is when the patients are elderly.
So what is it “heart attack”? Our heart hat blood vessels that are supplying heart with oxygen and this way heart can pump blood throughout our body. If the blood vessels are blocked or narrowed then there is not enough blood supply for the muscle of heart and that long term can cause that muscle start to die, that is very painful condition and requires immediate action.
Chest pain: One of the most important symptom that people should remember and recognise is pain, usually in chest, because heart is located in chest.
Upper body pain: usually left arm, shoulder, sometimes pain spreads to left side of neck and jaw, but also sometimes to teeth on left jam.
Shortness of breath: if heart is not working well, then our body and in the first instance our brain and lung becoming not enough oxygen and lungs are trying to compensate that.
Light-headiness, as I mentioned the brain receives not enough oxygen and that could cause such condition that the patient become dizzy and light-headed.
When people smoke then our body is affected by nicotine and that causes atherosclerosis of vessels included the heart vessels, that will cause narrowing of vessels and also some stiffness. The lumen of vessels is not able to transport oxygenated blood to heart and that could cause the condition called ischaemia or lack of oxygen. If that is long term then the muscle of heart will die and will not able to work to squeeze and relax and pump blood.
My uncle had three times heart attack, luckily it was mild and there were small vessels affected that is why the heart muscle did not suffer much. In his case he was playing chess with his friends and started to have a feeling of heartburn when he thought that this is due to feeling of hunger, but despite of having his meal heartburn got worse and he then started to have pain in his chest and after telling that to his wife he then went to hospital and over there he was diagnosed with heart attack.
