Did you know??😱😱
Your brain actually shrinks in size as you age, with the frontal lobe, which is responsible for decision-making and problem-solving showing the most significant decrease.
You can be acting childish..yunno😂😂😂😂
Also, the belief that people's hair turn gray as they age is not actually true. It simply loses its pigment, causing it to appear gray or white.

Aging is a natural biological process that occurs in every living organisms, humans not excluded. This is as a result of genetic and environmental factors. From the point conception to birth, and throughout the entire lifespan of an organism, aging is seen as it is visible and observable. The visible signs of aging are more noticeable during the middle age.

What is the medical process behind aging and from which age it actually starts?

The primary medical processes behind aging include:
🏵️Cellular Damage
🏵️Telomere Shortening
🏵️Hormonal changes
🏵️Inflammation
🏵️Mitochondrial dysfunction
🏵️Glycation....

Don't mind the big grammars. We will learn thier meanings together😂

🏵️Cellular Damage: As growth persists, cells in the body accumulate damages from various sources. Oxidative stress, inflammation, and DNA mutations are the most causes of these damages. Theses damage leads to cellular dysfunction and cell death, which contributes to the aging process.

🏵️Telomere shortening: Okay, if you've been in a biology class, where cell was taught. Probably, Telomeres was mentioned. They are protective caps at the ends of chromosomes that shorten with each cell division. As telomeres shorten, cells reach a point where they can no longer divide to create more cells ,leading to aging and cellular senescence. Kpam!!! Another grammar 😂😂
In biology, senescence is a process by which a cell ages and permanently stops dividing but stays alive. As time goes on,a great number of old cells (or senescent) build up in tissues all over the body.

🏵️Hormonal changes: Some sex hormone like estrogen and testosterone, play a role in the aging process when they decline. These changes can affect various bodily functions, including metabolism, bone density, etc.

Three down. Lets go to the next one😁👇👇

🏵️Inflammation: Inflammaging which is also known as Chronic low-grade inflammation, is a hallmark of the aging process. Inflammation contributes to old-age-related diseases and limits the body's ability to repair and regenerate cells and tissues.

🏵️Mitochondrial dysfunction: Mitochondria is a part of the cell that is responsible for the production of energy. It is like a power house. When mitochondria age, they become less efficient. They can no longer produce enough amount of energy to meet the needs of the body. This leads to cellular dysfunction which causes aging.

🏵️Glycation: Glycation is a process where sugar molecules bind to proteins, forming advanced glycation end products (AGEs) that can damage tissues and contribute to aging. By this, we all know that protein promotes growth. An when these accumulated sugar molecules blocks them from functioning, it all leads to the aging process.

I've been hearing things like; meat is no more functional for older people, as they don't need protein to grow again.
But me, I'll still be eating enough meat. Cos what...? I don't care😂😂

Here are some reasons why I am not afraid of aging:
🌹Wisdom and experience: When I grow old, I believe that by that time, I might have accumulated a wealth of knowledge and life experience that can be valuable to the younger ones, which can also contribute to personal growth, development and fulfillment.

🌹Self-discovery: Yes, aging can be a time of self-discovery. As I age, I may gain a better understanding of myself , my values, and also define the things that truly matters in my life.

🌹Stronger relationships: Anniversaries upon anniversaries will I celebrate with my friends that I might have been with over the number of years. I would have more time to spend with my loved ones and strengthen my connection with them.

🌹New opportunities: Aging does not mean the end of the road for me. New experience and opportunities pop up during this time of people's life. I believe I will have the time and freedom to pursue passions, hobbies, and interests that I may not have had time for earlier in life.

🌹 Resilience: There are many challenges in life. But, older people often have this resilient and great adaptability lifestyle. They can endure through these challenges because they believe they'll always make it through. Older persons have the ability to navigate difficulties with more grace and perspective.

I urge us to accept and embrace this aging process as a gift of life. How joyful a thing it is, not to die premature, but live to fulfill our days.

Maintaining a positive attitude and taking care of one's physical and emotional well-being can make aging a fulfilling and rewarding journey.

Hello, a very detailed and great explanation, thank you for sharing that knowledge. There's a reason we behave like children when we get older, my friend, the reason is well explained.

And every worry contains fear and yes, it is not about aging itself, it is about the consequences of it. Nobody wants to be limited, alone, without affection. That is the fear.
