What a timely contest, Suicides, mental issues and Anger seems to be one of the most increasing health issue despite the advancement of modern medicine.

Thanks to @mesola, we will today now see how we can manage this health issues, using her guide questions.

Question 1:
What must I do to conquer depression and anger?

Conquering depression or anger that has no physical form is very difficult. Combined with the fact that anger and depression is no ordinary disease but one that is emotional and affects the mind. Though difficult, the following would help solve the issue.

  • Avoid negative thoughts: Though this is easier said than done, negative thoughts brings about depression and anger , putting those aside and focusing on positive thoughts and good memories might be a way to start.

  • Doing the things you love the most: Remember depression and anger is a disorder of the mind. And nothing heals the mind as good as doing what you love most.

  • Seek help: At times finding someone reliable to talk to would be very helpful. A professional like a counsellor or a therapist may be very helpful. If this seems too far away, use someone close and reasonable, maybe an elder, parent, spiritual guide, pastor, mentor or even a friend.

If all these does not work, getting help medically is ideal. We have therapist who help deal with situations like this using appropriate drugs and therapy sessions.

What is different between depression and anger?

Depression is a deep feeling of sadness, grieve it is a point where a human feels so crushed and broken down.

Anger on the other hand is a feeling of frustration, irritation, or hatred towards someone or something.

Though both sounds alike, the main difference is in the emotion behind them. One is caused by sadness while the other is fueled my frustration.

Question 3:
What lead us to depression?

A lot I would say, especially in our world today where everything seems to go against what we usually plan or expect. Anything that brings sorrows, pains, heartache or sadness if not properly managed can lead to depression.

This includes but is not limited to; poverty, A fall from grace/high position, a loss of something cherished and even a break up.

Question 4:
How do we Cope With Anger and Depression?

It is important to note that we are humans, and it is normal to be angry or get sad after all these are what makes us humans. However when it gets too much or too frequent it's very advisable to Seek Help; talk to someone about your condition.

Funny enough depression and anger are very difficult to detect, so the first steps in treating depression and anger is identifying their symptoms.

Symptoms of depression are; Suicidal thoughts, apathy towards things you used to love, loneliness, anger, hypertension, high blood pressure etc. Once any of these is identified, SEEK HELP, try to rid yourself of negative thoughts, focus on positive things, try to create new memories, sometimes going to public places and associating would help.

Symptoms of anger issues are: getting irritated at every slight issue, getting angry for no reason, harsh words and seeing your friends suddenly distancing themselves from you, inability to keep friends for a long while and many more. Once you see this symptoms SEEK HELP, talk to someone about it, attend therapies, try hard to control your anger, walk away from situations that would get you angry.

N/B: The symptoms vary from persons to persons and having one or more of the symptoms may not mean you're suffering from anger or depression.

Conclusion

How we deal with these things matter a whole lot. A sure way I'll recommend is doing other things that makes one happy, going out more as staying in only gives one time to think if the things that causes these sadness.
