"Appendix pain"

There are sayings that say that;

Where appendix is located and how much severe appendix pain is normally?

Appendix is a small organ that its shape is like a shape of a finger located at your right lower abdomen very close to your large intestine.

And its characterized by a very sharp sudden pain that start around your belly button then extends to your right lower abdomen thereby causing discomfort.

Symptoms can be;
Coughing
Sneezing
Nausea and
Vomiting
And the pain of it can worsen through the rapid movement.

Have you ever been suffered from appendix pain?

YES

That was way back in 2009 over 15 years now, when I was writing my final exams to graduate out of high school. We call it WAEC (West Africa examination council) in my country Nigeria.
Then I started feeling this sharp and severe pains in my right lower abdomen; and I didn't take it serious because I normally have menstrual cramps so I thought that was it; then I told my mom about it, she went to the pharmacy to lay the complaints on my behalf and they prescribed some drugs for me to subsides the pain.

Then after some days the pain came back very excruciating accompanied by nausea and vomiting; my parents rushed me to the hospital when the thing became serious. Getting to the hospital series of tests were conducted, and they discovered that I had appendix and that the thing is at the verge to ruptured.
So the doctor adviced that I should be booked for surgery immediately.

I became afraid because I had never undergone surgery before; so I was admitted in the hospital and a date was fixed for the surgery.
The necessary was carried out, my parents paid the money that was required; then the D-Day a nurse came to prepare me for the theater; a catheter was inserted into my private part to pass urine. Aha! The discomfort was something else.

Then I was taken to the theater naked and all those doctors and surgeon were looking at my nakedness 😭😭, funny enough I didn't even realize I was naked. Then the asked me to climb and lie down, I did and they administered some anesthesia on me (a drug to induce a state of unconsciousness,that will make me relax and be insensitive to pains).
Then I slept off, the rest was history; the next thing was I woke up in the hospital ward after sleeping for hours feeling dizzy and weak.

I stayed for 4 days without eating any food except drip and hot water Lipton. Until I was able to pass out gas. Then after 8 days the stitches was removed, chai! Another phase of pains.
Then after some days I was discharged with plenty "do's" and "don't ".
I must say it was a very terrible experience for me.

Please I'll say in capital letters
SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

Avoid self medication like taking pains relieved drugs
And also note that delay can cause serious complications such as making the appendix to ruptured and that can be life threatening you wouldn't want that please.

In conclusion:

Appendix is a life threatening sickness, when not treated on time.
