Hello beloved steemains and friends, greetings to you all , I'm so glad performing in this wonderful contest, and also this will be my first post in this great community, I will be delighted sharing my own view on the topic GEN and GENETICS , below I will be making use of the contest rules as the organizer of this post has instructed, I regard you sir @sahmie for such a creative writing.

What makes you unique, like having your mom's eyes or your dad's smile?

Many things makes me unique when ever I see that I'm of the same thing with my parents, firstly the word Gen has already explained it self which it is the study of hereditary, that simply means that you have every possibility to have your parents eyes or there smile.

Basically if you are not lucky enough if you parents are short there is also a possibility of been short, but not 100% , it depends on the parents of the offspring or human.

Why do some diseases run in families, like diabetes or heart conditions?

Looking at the predicament of some families experiencing this kind of disease as you have mentioned diabetes and heart problem,

I will say that gen or genetics are not responsible for that such sickness. For diabetics I can say it can be caused by many things, examples like taking exercise of sugar can make an adult suffer from diabetes, meanwhile for children it helps them grow, so that is to say taking sugar has it age rate.

While looking at heart condition or problem, many people gain this problem from hard jobs , and from there you may contact the problem from there it has the possibility of coming In to family lives it may have effect on your children.

How do genes decide things like hair color, eye color, or even how tall you'll be?

gens has the permission for those species, in my own understand I will say it the responsibilities of what we call "DNA " this gen have DNA that are capable for making a particular protein,

With the help of this protein it will help in decideding the color of a particular hair, the eye color and the hight of the person.

Have you heard about DNA testing? how can it reveal your ancestry or health risks?

Yes I have had about DNA several times , it is one of the best way for you to know your background and so much of your Ruth.

For me I can say that it can reveal our ancestry or health risk , from a particular generation,
It means that a generation may suffer a disease and after some time they disease may move out from the generation, not that it will move out entirely but after some decade it may come back to generation.
