Lungs cancer.
Assalamu Alaikum.
Hello everyone,
I am @sojib1996
From #Bangladesh
How are you all? I hope everyone is well. Alhamdulillah I am fine too. Today I will be taking part in a beautiful contest of the Healthy Steem community. This contest name is Lungs cancer.
Thank you so much Sir @khursheedanwar for organizing such a beautiful event.
Generally, if I talk about our country, even though the price of cigarettes has increased constantly in our country, smoking has not decreased. Rather, it is increasing day by day. Earlier, when I was young, I used to see adults smoking, but now young children are smoking openly on the streets.
They feel smart because of this. They do not see it as a fashion now, but despite knowing its harm, they are in this blind world. Even though every cigarette pack says that it is harmful or will cause cancer, the smoking rate is not decreasing.
Cancer is a deadly disease. However, abnormal cell growth causes lung cancer. It is one of the most common cancers and its symptoms are more common in smokers.
Lung cancer takes some time to develop, but the sooner it is treated, the better. Lung cancer affects 2 out of 3 people over the age of 65. It can be said that this disease is diagnosed in old age.
Lung cancer may not show symptoms in the early stages. However, the following symptoms may appear.
A change in the person's voice.
Feeling tired and weak.
Frequent chest infections.
A new cough that is chronic and does not decrease with regular medication.
Coughing up blood or blood with sputum.
Change in the voice.
Pain in the bones and joints of the body.
Frequent shortness of breath.
Unexpected weight loss.
Chest pain when coughing.
Smoking is considered the main cause of lung cancer. Those who smoke regularly or are in contact with smoking partners are at higher risk of developing this disease. Nicotine smoke from a smoking person enters the lungs and weakens them.
In addition, when its smoke spreads, it mixes with the air and enters our body through our oxygen, which also causes some harm. If someone in the family smokes, the nicotine has a much worse effect on the family.
Lung cancer is treated in many ways. However, it primarily depends on how advanced the disease is and the patient's age. Below are some of the treatment options.
Surgery
Robotic lobectomy: Robotic is when doctors use robotic tools to remove lobes of the lung.
Pneumonectomy: Removing the entire lung.
Segmental resection: Removing a large part of the lung.
Wedge resection: Removing a small part of the lung, including the cancerous part.
Chemotherapy: Giving drugs to destroy cancer cells.
Radiosurgery: Also known as stereotactic radiotherapy, high-intensity radiation destroys cancer cells.
Biological therapy: Using anti-cancer vaccines. Which work against cancer cells.
I would like to invite my friends @memamun @mariagood and @jannat12 to take part in the contest.
