🧘 What is “social media” in your life, and how many hours a day do you spend on it?

In today's digital age, social media has woven itself into the fabrc of our lives, for both leisur and work. My relationship with social media, however, leans towards the excesive side, affecting various aspects of my daily life, particularly my sleep patterns and my ability to perform my morning prayers.

Social media is a multifacated presence in my life. It serves as a source of entrtainment, connection with friends, and even a platform for work-related activities like Steemit and Binance. My daily interaction with these platforms easily consumes several hours, often stretching late into the night. Let's delve into the impact of social media on my life and discuss some strategies to make it healthier.



🧘 Name five ways social media can have a negative impact on your life and that of your loved ones.

Sleep Deprivation

The relentless scrolling and engaging content often lure me into staying up late, causing sleep deprivation and disruptng my daily routine.

Productivity Loss

Social media can be a major productivty thief. Time spent aimlessly scrolling could be beter utilized for work or self-improvement.

Anxiety and Stress

Constant exposure to news, opinions, and the desire to keep up with online trends can lead to anxiety and stress, afecting not only me but also my loved ones who witness my unease.

Relationship Strain

Excesive social media usage can diminish the quality of real-world intractions, creating a strain on relationships with family and friends.

Spiritual Neglect

The irregular sleep paterns resulting from late-night social media engagements often hindr my ability to offer Fajr prayer, impacting my spiritual well-being.



🧘 If you had to implement 5 rules to make sure that social media became HEALTHIER in your environment, what would they be?

Set Time Limits

Establish strict daily time limits for social media usage to regain control over my schedul and prioritize tasks effectively.

Create a Digital-Free Zone

Designate specific spaces in my home where social media and screens are prohibted to facilitate healthier, in-person connections.

Turn Off Notifications

Disable non-essential notifcations to reduce the constant urge to check my social media accounts.

Nighttime Rituals

Develop a nighttime routine that does not involve screens. Reading, mediitation, or relaxation techniques can replace late-night scrolling.

Morning Routine

Prioritize offering Fajr prayer by creating a morning routine that includes spirtual activities before diving into social media.

In conclusion, recognzing the need for a healthier relationship with social media is the first step. By implementing these rules, I can restore balance, protect my mental health, and honor my spiritual comitments. Social media can be a valuable tool, but it should never come at the cost of our overall well-being and our connection to the real world.
