"Temporary Teeth"

Human beings evolve from one point of growth to another and this growth comes with it own parenthesis to make it work out, this include our dentition of which I will be talking about in this contest organized by @helengutier2.

Firstly, the Milk Teeth as we generally call it erupts at an early age of 6-7 months. Also, at age 3, the full set of temporary/milk teeth completes it full set of 20 teeth.

Secondly, The 20 set of teeth is classified to about 4 incisors which is central and Lateral, then 2 Canines and 4 Molars which is the first and second in each of the jaw, this mean 10 teeth grows on the upper jaw while 10 also grows on the lower jaw.

The importance of keeping temporary teeth in the mouth can not be overemphasized but for the purpose of this contest, I will be highliting few points to consider;

• Temporary Teeth helps in proper jaw growth and development.

• They also aid in good speech articulation at early stage of a child.

• They also aid digestion as they help kids to chew their food properly.

• They also help the permanent teeth to grow on a define space and not just scattered around.

• Temporary Teeth help to keep the jaw in good shape thereby maintain the beauty of a child at early stage.

These and many more are the advantages of keeping the temporary teeth.

Honestly, when I was a kid I do allow my temporary teeth to fall out on it own because trying to extract it at early stage causes severe pains I wasn't always ready but though at some point when the teeth wants to fall out on it own it gets shaky and makes me feel uncomfortable but at the same time I do allow it to go off by itself. And secondly, I have not for once visited a dentist to check up on my teeth, not even for the Extraction, all my teeth gets to fall off by themselves.

Also, there is this myth we believed in back then that if you forcefully pull out your teeth it won't grow back again and also, if you get to misplace the teeth without throwing it across your roof that it won't also grow back, these myths never allowed us forcefully pull out our temporary teeth.

There are so many ways to take care of our temporary teeth inorder to keep them early as week as avoiding premature Extraction and here are some of the ways;

• Do not take excessive amount of extreme hot or cold food/beverages.

• Brush the teeth gently and floss them gently as they can be delicate.

• Avoid chewing extreme hard substances inorder to not pull them off prematurely.

• Do not eat too much sugary food as they can cause tooth decay.

• Avoid fight as they can lead to someone else hitting your jaw and cause premature Extraction of your teeth.

• Only use prescribed toothpaste, brush and mouth wash.

These and many more are ways to take care of our temporary teeth.
