Health Matters; (Communicable Diseases)
What are some common ways that communicable diseases are spread among people?
Communicable diseases are diseases that are spread through so many routes such as the ones discussed below..
Direct contact: This is the transmission of disease through physical contact with an affected person, like kissing, touching, or sexual contact.
Indirect Contact: This is the touching of surfaces or objects that have been contaminated with infectious agents.
Droplet transmission: This is the spread of disease through respiratory droplets when an affected person Vaughan, sneezes or talks.
Airborne Transmission: These are diseases that spread through tiny particles or droplets that remain suspended in the air and can be inhaled.
Decal oral route: This can happen through contact with contaminated water, food, or hands due to poor hygiene. Others are; bloodborne and Victor bore.
How can good hygiene practices help prevent the spread of communicable diseases?
Good hygiene practices are important in preventing the spread of communicable diseases by reducing the chances of getting transmitted. Below is the practice that we need.
Hand washing: Regular washing of hands with soap and water removes germs that may be picked up from contaminated surfaces or direct contact with an infected person.
Proper respiratory hygiene: Converting our mouth and nose with elbow or tissue when sneezing or coughing can help us to prevent respiratory droplets from spreading, reducing the risk of airborne disease and droplets.
Safe food and water practices: Washing fruits well or food before cooking and preserving cooked food can help us prevent the spread of communicable diseases.
Other ways are: to maintain good personal hygiene and avoid close contact with an affected person.
