ALTHOUGH it lasts only a moment, it is a universal language and the memory may stay with us for life. Its value is immeasurable and immense, no one is so poor that she can't share it or so Rich that she does not need it. What am I talking about? A smile 😊, It's simple to produce a smile, it only takes a muscular contraction in which our eyes brighten and the corners of our mouths curve slightly upward thus showing satisfaction. Babies do smile during their first few weeks after birth and of course this usually delights proud new parents.

Babies smiling at 1 week is known as a reflex and is involuntary. Experts let us understand that this kind of smile normally appears during dreaming and that it seems to be connected to internal feelings & activities of the central nervous system. This reflex smile still occurs in adults, that is why we normally smile after eating good food or while listening to good music.

Smile is so important for us and others, it has a positive influence on our physical health, a social voluntary, conscious smile cheers us up be it babies or adults. When we smile we release feeling-good chemical substances known as endorphins in our brain, and that makes us feel good 😊, not only us it has a positive effect on others too. A sincere smile communicates our feelings without words, be it a smile of sympathy, greeting, or encouragement.

Sometimes merely looking at a child's appealing smile in a photograph can make us smile tool when we receive a warm smile we feel more relaxed and at ease to cope better with challenges or frustrations.

SOME POWERFUL EFFECTS OF SMILE

Smiling has Physical, Psychological, Social, and Spiritual effects on us:

From a physical perspective, smiling is very good for our health. As I said before When we smile, our brains release a feel-good chemical known as endorphins, serotonin, and other natural painkillers, which reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. Smiling boosts our immune system, lowers blood pressure, and improves our heart and respiratory health.

Another spectacular thing about smiling is that it's contagious. When we smile, we encourage others to reciprocate, thus, creating positive vibes that can spread throughout a whole place or community.

From a psychological perspective, smiling is vital for our mental well-being. We can cope well in difficult situations if we smile a lot, overcome negative thoughts and emotions, and become more confident in ourselves. We can communicate better if we like Smiling because it creates a warm and friendly atmosphere making others feel comfortable and welcome. Moreover, when we smile, we are more likely to attract positive experiences and people will be free with us.

From a social perspective, smiling helps us to build good relationships, and foster empathy. It breaks barriers between cultures, languages, backgrounds, and races because it transcends cultural and language barriers. When we smile people can easily approach us, like and trust us. For example, in a job interview, a smile can make a first good impression, and set the tone for positive interaction.

Lastly, From a spiritual perspective, smiling is a form of gratitude and appreciation. When we smile, we acknowledge the goodness of life and the good things we have, not that we really deserve it. It could be a form of meditation too, helping us to focus more on the present moment and let go of past and negative thoughts and worries. Smiling can connect us to God as we will appreciate the beauty of nature and the harmony that exists in the entire universe.

So what next? Do not hold back from giving this simple yet powerful gift to others, it costs nothing It's a simple gesture, but have the power to heal and connect people, you won't benefit yourself only but others too, so let's smile more often and make an effort to share this valuable gift - a warm smile.
