Greetings, Here this is me your very own Faran Nabeel and am back with another good article in healthy steem community. Today i will participate in the community contest that is organised by sahmie for healthy steem members. In which contest i have to discuss on our food.


Do you believe that the foods we eat have medicinal value?

Yes absolutely i believe that the foods we eat have a medicinal value because am also a food technologist and i know the nature and importance and benefits of food, many foods have significant medicinal value, some are processed food and some are unprocessed foods contain many many minerals like fruits. Olive oil and Green tea is best example of professed. Many people use olive oil for the pain of bones as massage.


Give 5 examples of foods that you consider to be powerful "medicines" for the body, and what they do.

As i mentioned above that many processed and unprocessed foods have a significant medicinal value,

  • Olive oil
  • Green tea
  • Ginger
  • Fatty Fish
  • Berries

Many people use olive oil for the of pain of bones as a massage and same as many people use green tea for losing body weight so they both foods have a medicinal value. As these many other foods have a significant medicinal value.


How can we use food in our daily lives to keep healthy?

Using healthy foods in our daily lives to keep healthy is a great approach and there many ways to consume healthy food to keep healthy and fit in our normal routine like, we have to drink minimum 3 liter water in a day. Prevent for those foods that contains high sugar and quantity of oil. Cook food by your own at home and use good and fresh material for your food in normal days as well.


Do you think it's important for schools to teach about how food can be like medicine for our bodies? Why?

Of course, Teaching children about the connection between food and our health is really good because you know that, if they teach well, they grow well and healthy, We have need to teach them about the importance of fruits and vegetables. We have to guide them to prevent from snacks and fast foods. In school life of children we have need to guide them about medicinal value of food.
