Hepatitis means liver infection.

The liver is a vital organ of our body that processes nutrients, filters blood and fights infection.

When there is an infection or damage to the liver, its function is affected. Excessive alcohol consumption, toxic substances and some medical conditions can cause hepatitis. It is also the result of diseases affecting the liver such as fatty liver.

There are many different viruses that can infect our liver and cause inflammation (hepatitis).

These include hepatitis A, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, hepatitis D and hepatitis E.

The other name of hepatitis disease is hepatitis B. Hepatitis B is an infectious disease caused by the virus (HBV). It causes swelling and inflammation in the liver which is called hepatitis.

Prolonged inflammation causes serious damage to the liver over time. This can lead to cirrhosis and liver failure.

Hepatitis B is the most common liver infection in the world. It is easily preventable with the help of vaccines.

How is hepatitis spread?

This disease is mostly caused by coming in contact with infected bodily fluids.

This disease can be caused by using blood products such as dirty needles or untested blood.

This disease can be transmitted from mother to child during pregnancy, delivery or care.

This disease can also be caused by unprotected sexual intercourse between male and female.

This disease can be caused by sharing toothbrushes or razors. And accidental injury from an infected sharp instrument can also cause this disease.

 Symptoms of hepatitis

It has different symptoms. It includes symptoms like yellowing of the eyes, abdominal pain, and urine color dark yellow or turmeric color, fever, loss of appetite and vomiting.

Hepatitis B infection can cause this damage even without any symptoms. Many people do not even know that they are infected.

Have you ever seen a hepatitis patient around you?

Yes, my father-in-law had hepatitis B in 2019.

Earlier he had mild jaundice and he was undergoing treatment for jaundice. But when he could not take rest, he was tested. When the report came, it was found that he had hepatitis B. We all got scared as soon as we heard the name of this disease.

He was treated for a very long time. And he got cured.

      Is hepatitis curable?

Yes, hepatitis can be cured. It is a little difficult but possible.

To get hepatitis treated, difficult tests have to be done. According to them, treatment is started after consulting a good doctor.

When my father-in-law had hepatitis, he also had very difficult tests. After that, he was treated. We were also given very light food. At first, only fruits, juice, and makhana (roasted lotus seeds )were included in his food. Then as he was getting better, his appetite was also increasing. Then we also started giving him dal, rice, porridge, etc. In this way he gradually recovered.

After a few days he recovered. His treatment took a little more time and money, but by the grace of God he is completely fine till today.

The treatment of hepatitis C is a little difficult. But after spending a lot of money the treatment is done. It becomes difficult for a common man to get treatment for hepatitis because it costs a lot.

I hope and believe that you all liked my post.
