SEC-S13/W3 | "Bare Feet 🐾"
Greetings to all friends of the Healthy Steem community and leaders. It is weekend and I hope we are all having a blissful day. It is week 3 of the prestigious season 13 engagement challenge and I am happy to share ideas regarding the topic of the engagement challenge.
The topic for this week’s challenge is "Bare Feet 🐾". My analysis will focus on the guiding questions below and I hope you find pleasure in reading through.
Do you like walking barefoot? Explain your reasons.
Since childhood, my mother ensured that we always put on either socks 🧦 or any footwear while at home or going outdoors to play. According to her, moving barefoot was not appropriate because of the environmental conditions.
She explained to us that moving barefoot on the floor was not good because of the cement which is cold and can cause us health challenges such as having cracked feet, getting cold and flu, etc.
Presently, I also scolded my kids not to walk barefooted because I once tried to walk barefooted and I experienced the causes my mom usually cautioned us about moving barefooted.
My daughter once had a serious injury on her feet as she tried walking without shoes while playing outdoors. Something pierced her feet and she bleeds for a while and I applied first aid to the wound.
In a nutshell, walking barefoot in my environment is not encouraged due to health challenges caused by the environment.
How important is taking care of your feet?
My feet are so precious to me as without them, walking around doing my errands would have been an issue. An issue because persons living with disabilities in my country go through a lot of pain and trauma as the society is not inclusive.
During cold weather conditions, I always put in socks 🧦 to keep my feet warm at all costs to avoid contracting the flu.
On sunny days as temperatures are hot, I put on airing shoes to allow my foot to also be airy after the cold weather.
I often treat my feet with hot water mixed with sea salt and I use a foot spray to give my legs some freshness. This treatment is done at the end of the dry season in my country.
What do you think of the saying “Don't walk barefoot, parasites can get in”?
As I earlier mentioned, our environment is not friendly enough for us to walk barefoot. I already said growing up as a kid, we were cautioned about walking barefoot because we could be attacked by parasites. A good example was contracting the flu as a result of exposing your feet to cold weather.
Permit me to share an incident that happened to my cousin who was fun of moving barefooted. One day, an old nail pierced him on the leg and the mother removed the old nail from his leg but did not take the child to a clinic for proper treatment of the wound. After about 4 days, the wound got infected with tetanus.
My cousin was taken to the hospital late when his condition was getting worse. His leg ended up amputated. Therefore, I always encourage everyone to not walk barefooted, especially within the context of the environment we find ourselves because “parasites can get in”.
What do you think of a world without shoes?
It would be a difficult world for some of us who cannot walk barefoot due to the environment we find ourselves. Many people will suffer from flu during cold weather conditions walking without shoes.
A world without shoes means the people in my environment will be infected with parasites. Therefore, it will be difficult for some is us to survive without shoes. I cannot walk barefoot for a minute.
I have come to the end of my presentation and I will invite @crisvera, @eliany, @majerius and @saxopedia to share their opinions about the topic.

Tetanus is no joke, and it's crucial to protect ourselves from such risks.
Exactly my friend, our environment is not friendly to walk barefooted.
Hello friend Chant, thank you for your participation and good answers to the questions on the topic. I hope you have success mate.
It is understandable that in your country the environment is different and it is not recommended to ride barefoot or without shoes.
Our parents' advice not to walk without shoes is totally true and is important to avoid getting sick or hurting our feet.
That is why we must take great care of them since they are what give us mobility and we can run, walk, jump and many other activities.
It would be very uncomfortable to walk barefoot in today's world, we would not adapt to such an environment so quickly, it is likely that we would suffer damage.
Friend, success to you.
Greetings friend, it is very uncomfortable for me walking without shoes or barefoot. It is easy to get injured with broken bottles and roasted nails thrown around.
I guess it's uncomfortable friend Chant, when I was younger I played in the street barefoot and I don't think I do that now.
Blessings and success to you.
Walking barefoot is advantageous based on the environment we find ourselves but for me my environment is not friendly to be barefooted. For this reason, I always walk with either socks on or slippers.
Asslam o alaikum @chant dear your thoughtful consideration of the importance of foot care and the risks associated with walking barefoot is truly insightful best of luck dost
Thank you dear friend for engaging.
