So in this post i am taking part in contest and the topic of this contest is anemia.As i am a medical student i know alot about anemia so,i'll share will share with you about anemia in this post

ANEMIA

Anemia is the clinical term in which there is less number or rbc's less than 4million per dl in our body,or less concentration of haemoglobin less than 12gm/dl to carry oxygen or less hematocrit in our body

CAUSES OF ANEMIA

There are alot of causes of Anemia

#iron deficiency
Anemia may be cause due to deficiency of iron in our body due to less intake of iron in diet because iron is tha important component of haemoglobin.so,due to less concentration of haemoglobin in cell size of rbc's is small and anemia due to iron deficiency is called *microcytic anemia'

folate and vitamin b12 deficiency

Anemia may also be caused due to the deficiency of folate(folic acid) or vitamin b12 in our body which are essential for the synthesis of dna.Anemia due to deficiency of vitamin b12 and folate is called "megaloblastic anemia"

haemolysis

Anemia may be caused due to the hemolysis (break down) of rbc's as in sickle cell anemia there are 2 chains of haemoglobin 1 alpha and 1 beta so,in beta chain valine is inserted instead of glutamine acid due to which rbc's becomes week and hemolysis accurs

#bleeding
Heavy bleeding internal (hemorrhage)or external due to an accident or any trauma may cause anemia due to excessive loss of blood.High manstural bleeding in women's may also causes anemia

pregnancy

In pregnancy there is alot of chances of anemia.A women who don't take supplements and multivitamins have more chances of anemia

many other causes

1.our body not produces enough rbcs due to which anemia accurs called aplastic anemia
2*Any auto immune disease,cancer or infection may cause anemia

PREVENTION

We can prevent anemia by taking supplements, multivitamins or by taking diet Rich of folic acid, vitamin b12 and iron
