Herbal Hair Tonic: Make a herbal hair tonic to promote the health the of the hairs. Write the herbs used in the tonic. Explain how the tonic will help for the hair health. Write the step by step process of making hair tonic. |

Hair tonic making process
To preparer my herbal hair tonic, the herbs I used was;
Rosemary
- Rosemary
- Ginseng
- Aloe Vera
I put the rosemary, ginseng and the aloe Vera pulp in a pot. I cut the aloe Vera open and scraped out the gel into the pot with the other herbs. Added water to it and boiled the herbs for about 10 minutes until the aloe Vera gel’s dissolved.
I sieved out the tonic and my hair tonic was ready to be used.

Rosemary
- Rosemary helps with hair growth as the oil contained in it makes for increment of scalp blood circulation which helps in nutrients and oxygen delivering to the follicles of the hair. This prevents hair loss and stops the follicles of the shot from dying.
- The hair has a better environment go grow because Rosemary helps in reducing the irritating the scalp and inflammation.
- In stimulating the follicles of the hair, it helps to encourage new hair gorier hand strengthening the existing hairs.
Ginseng
- Ginseng makes for increase circulation of blood around the follicles of the hair and this provides more nutrients and oxygen which in turn vitalises and nourishes the hair follicles hence leading to healthier and stronger hair.
- In stimulating that follicles of the hair, it makes for fuller and thicker hair hence reducing hair loss.
- It also fights the loss of hair caused by hormonal imbalance.
- It’s active compound ginsenosides helps in reversing the effects of ultra violent rays on the hair because of its oxidating effect.
Aloe Vera
- Aloe Vera moisturizes the hair and keeps it shining and soft
- Helps in alleviating irritation or itching on the scalp.
- Nutrients contained in Aloe Vera makes hair healthier and stronger
- Stops hair breakage and reduce UV rays effects on the hair.
Usage and how it helps the hair
Spray the hair tonic on the hair and massage into the hair. Leave for about one hour and rinse the tonic off with shampoo.
These locks in moisture into the hair thereby moisturizing it.
Stops hair breaking and leaves the hair shinier, healthier and stronger.
Skin Care Mask: Prepare a mask for the skin purely made with the herbs and use at least 3 herbs to prepare a mask. Write down the procedure and explain how it helps for the skin care. |

Procedure
I cut my Tumeric into tiny pieces and mashed it and then added the ginseng and aloe Vera gel I to the mash and blended together to form a fine paste.
Tumeric
- Tumeric inhibits the production of melanin in the skin hence is good for reducing hyperpigmentation and removing dark spots.
- Tumeric is effective in reducing swelling and skin irritation.
- Tumeric prevents premature aging by speeding up the ability of the body to prod e tissue and boosting the production of collagen
It adds vitamins and fatty acids to the ski. And helps in the removal of dead skin cells. - Tumeric resuscitates the skin and brings out the natural glow.
Aloe Vera
- Aloe Vera helps to keep the skin supply and smooth.
- Aloe Vera helps with itchy and dry skin that’s as a result of seborrheic dermatitis and eczema as it contains a sugar molecule called mucopolysaccharides that integrates moisture to the skin.
- It reduces swelling and redness of the skin therefore comes in handy in helping with sun burn
- It contains vitamin C and E thereby helps in the reduction the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines on the skin
Ginseng
- Ginseng helps in reducing puffiness, redness of the skin and also in dealing with acne.
- It tightens the skin and increases the collagen form of the skin.
- It’s increases the barrier function of the skin also increases skin hydration.
- The antioxidants contained in ginseng protects the skin from the damaged that is caused by free radical that leads to the devein the elasticity of the skin and sagging.
How to use and how it helps the skin care
Apply the herbal mask on the desired area of the skin and leave for about 15 minutes, wash off with warm water. This leaves the skin glowing and healthier.
- They prevent skin damage and makes for increased skin elasticity and deals with wrinkles and fast aging.
- Deals with acnes, Itchy skins, helps skin pigmentation and smoothness of the skin.

Procedure
I added my cinnamon and mashed ginger into a pot and added water and boiled for about 10 minutes until the herbs are infused into the water. Sieve out the water and add to your bath. Or you can add them to a Muslin bag and add to bath water.
Benefits and relaxation for self care
Ginger
- Having ginger in a bath soak helps with blood flow circulation and can alleviate muscle pains and ache.
- Ginger bath is therapeutic and can help us sleep better.
- Ginger baths reduces anxiety and makes for increased relaxation and makes the skin feel less irritated and smoother.
- It helps the body get rid of toxins through sweating
Cinnamon
- Cinnamon is helps to keep our skin clear and clean because it a natural cleanser and contains anti bacterial properties.
- It’s a strong aromatic herb and helps to relax the nerves and cells.
- Cinnamon helps in blood circulation and helps to reduce the robustness of the muscles and warms the body
How they help for relaxation and self care
- The aromatherapy of cinnamon and ginger helps to sooth the muscle and Brain and help the body to relax.
- These brings an invigorating feeling of warmth and energy to the body through increased blood circulation.
