What Do You Understand by Healthy Liver?
Alright, let me start from this and establish this once again that our liver is a very important part of our body because it plays a lot of important functions that helps put our health in good conditions. The liver which is found in the side of our abdomen most especially the upper right side of our abdomen helps to play a major role when it comes to digestion in our body. Not even only limited to digestion but also metabolism and also the function of Detoxification.
Whenever we have a healthy liver, it helps to remove toxins from our body most especially from our blood which might want to cause more harm to us. Not only that, many of us might not know but proteins and enzymes that we need in our body to maintain our body health are also produced by the liver organs. For every day activities , it always makes sure that our body have the right amount of energy to thrive and also enhance our immunity state. And that is why having a healthy liver is very important for our wellbeing.
Tips for a Healthy Liver
When talking about having a healthy liver, it is not only limited to you only having an organ in your body but there are certain recommended steps you can take which can helps to put your liver in good conditions which I will be sharing below;
- Eat a Balanced Diet: Of course this will be the first on my list. Many of us probably due to our financial status and other things hardly pay attention to our diet. When you eat a balanced diet, it helps to put your liver in good conditions. Always makes sure that your diet is always rich in fruits and vegetables. Also reduce the level of sugar you consume and also fats you consume.
- Stay Hydrated: The second one is by you always staying hydrated. Many of us might not know but taking lots of water helps in the flushing out of toxins from our body and also helps to prevent dehydration.
- Avoid Excessive Alcohol: I think this one I will be talking to people who drink a lot. Make sure that you avoid taking alcohol especially in excess. In fact research have made me to understand that alcohol is one of the most harmful substances that can damage our lover because it can cause a lot of liver disease like liver inflammation and much more. If possible, avoid it totally.
- Maintain a Healthy Weight: You might not know but obesity plays a negative effect on our liver and that is what we should pay attention to. Always make sure that you pay attention to fat accumulation in your body because it does so much more danger than the good you might be thinking of.
- Exercise Regularly: I will add this lastly and that is by you engaging in Exercise. Exercise is not a new word in our society. We have heard so much about the importance of exercise but we hardly do it. Makes sure you engage in physical exercise as it helps to reduce the liver fat in your body.
Example of a Health Problem Due to Liver Dysfunction
Talking about the health problem that is due to liver dysfunction, I will like to mention Cirrhosis. This is a condition that happens when your liver is permanently damaged due to a liver disease that was not attended to. The cause of cirrhosis is not only limited to liver disease but also including alcohol abuse which I talked about earlier.
Whenever an individual have Cirrhosis, that particular healthy liver tissue started to be replaced with scar tissue which will not reduce the ability of the liver to perform it's function designed to perform. Most of the time, if this condition is not quickly attended to, it can lead to huge complications like bleeding, and finally liver failure. Most of the time, to treat Cirrhosis, there is a need for liver transplant to takes place.
Conclusion
As I conclude, I will like to establish that Liver Health is very vital for our wellbeing and so we must always pay close attention to what we do so that it will not affect our liver and which at the end of the day affect our health.
