Hello ladies,

It's story time!!!

On my way to work on Wednesday, I joined a bus to my workplace; inside the bus were some passengers who got into the bus before me. I sat in the front right beside a good-looking young man.

As the bus left, this young man started a conversation with me, but I was scared to respond to any of his talk because I was scared of what could happen. A lot of stories about people losing their senses after engaging in a public conversation have been flying around the city, so I decided to respect myself and stay calm.

I got down immediately. I got to my bus stop and entered the office, but right from the gate I could hear noises from the building, and I wondered what it could be. When I got close, I saw some armed men, a barrister and my boss, and some of my colleagues, but I still didn't get what was happening.

These armed men handcuffed one of my colleagues (Sarah), and they all went away in their vehicle. When they left, I was now forced to know what happened because such has never happened before.

I was told by my colleague (Esther) that Sarah stole some money from the office—over 2.5 million Naira—that's a huge amount of money. I began to wonder how it happened and what she needed the money for.

In the afternoon, Sarah was brought back to the office because the matter was still being investigated, and as she came, she told us exactly how this money disappeared.

She said she was in a bus and a conversation was going on; she joined in the conversation, and that was where her problem began. She said she didn't know what happened to her that minute, but she was told to go and bring some money for them. They told her the exact place where this money was and how she would bring it to them.

She left and came to the office, but the security was tight, so she waited a while. Now this colleague Esther was in charge of the finance desk in the office, but she needed someone to sit in for her while she went to get her breakfast.

Sarah was the only available person to do that. Now when Esther left, Sarah said she collected the money in the safe and left. Before Esther could return, Sarah was gone with the money. Esther raised an alarm immediately, but Sarah had gone far.

Sarah went straight to those who sent her and delivered the money to them; immediately they left her. She got back herself and was wondering what happened to her.

When she returned to the office, she saw everyone worried and immediately caught her and called on the boss to come over. That was how she was arrested.

It happened so fast, like before an hour the whole scenario had played out and she was in debt of 2.5 million Naira. I told them about my experience while coming to work this morning, and I suspected it could be the same set of people, but I was guided by my angel.

Now Sarah's salary was not paid to her because the boss said she will have to work for free for the next year, except she's able to pay half of the money in six months time. This was huge for her, and she has a sick mother at home.

How will she even cope and manage with feeding? It was a big disaster.

What I learned from this story...

• It is good to mind your business in life. Sometimes when matters does not concern you, don't join.

• Always seek God first before leaving the house every day, it's very important.

• Before you speak in public, check your environment and seek the holy Spirit to be with you.

• I learned that being careful in all we do in life is of outermost important.

I hope you learned from my story today?

Stay safe!
