I will love to start by pointing out that every Marriage is a unique blend made up of two individuals coming from diffrent backgrounds, but united in their commitment to navigate the challenges of life together in spite all odds.

Unfortunately, a significant number of marriages today end in a divorce and many who are not legally divorced are separated, creating a trail of emotionally scarred children.
Some people attribute this trend to the changing norms and values of modern society, where essential qualities like natural affection, loyalty and genuine self-sacrificing love are missing. Important qualities that kept families together.
Many people no longer view the marriage institution as a sacred union with profound spiritual significance, nor do they even see the marriage vow as a binding commitment. This perspective undermines the foundation of a healthy and fulfilling marriage.

Let's consider a few principles that can make a whole lot of difference in a marriage.

Be a Responsible Husband

The husband should embrace his role as the head of the household by being decisive and by taking charge when tough decisions needs to be made.
Avoid shying away from responsibilities of decision making or passing them to your wife. In a bid to show her some consideration, letting her take certain decisions could be misinterpreted as a lack of leadership.

Be a Supportive Wife

Enbress your role as a partner and companion, avoid being a competitor. function as a compliment for your husband and provide loving support and encouragement thereby promoting peace in the family. As a wife, remember that submision to your husband dosen't mean subjugation; it's more about showing respect and understanding. Find out your husband's definition of respect, and respect him in his own terms.

Be realistic and expect challenges

Your marriage will pass through trying times brought about by some financial problems, illness, thoughtless words, having a diffrent view when it comes to raising children. Be prepared to face obstacles and surmount them together as a couple.
No marriage is perfect, so don't expect perfection in your spouse. Be proactive about communication, making sure your thoughts and intention are transmitted correctly and respectfully. Have an endless supply of forgiveness for your spouse.

Be Faithfull to each other

Fidelity is one of the major cornerstone of a lasting marriage, the lack of fidelity has been the principal culprit that hurts marriages the most today. Causing a lot of emotional destress and eroding trust. When both partners priorities faithfulness, loyalty and commitment, they create an environment for their relationship to flourish.
