“Raising boys and girls”

Am @saintkelvin17, a very hardworking Nigerian steemian. Is good to begin my weekend with a very wonderful engagement challenge post. This week topic is really amazing and unique, this community always come up with interesting topics. Boys and girls are tow different gender with different lifestyles though some boys behave like girls while some girls always behave like boys.

Should boys and girls be raised in the exact same way?

Yeah over to the one and only question for the day. I must say that this is impossible because you can't do the same thing to two different things and expect a positive result. Boys and girls are both different and I don't think they can be raised the same way.

In Africa boys more valued than girls just because one day the girls will get married and answer the surname of her husband, though I recently learnt that a woman can marry a man and still bear her own father's surname. Though if am the man I won't permit that. Africa is one of the biggest continents with alot of people with common goals. Most places in African are developed while some are not.

Also in Africa, boys are really allowed to do anything in the kitchen because most people believe that the kitchen is meant for the girls and this isn't right at all because we are spoiling the boys in that aspect. Am happy that most boys can now cook now and that legacy is fading away slowly. Most boys who can cook are boys without sisters.

Boys and girls are both humans and they need to be treated equally but they are different and they need to be treated equally in two different pairs. In my family, the boys are given more work than girls sometimes because the boys will be leaders of a home when they get married someday, am the first child and I have alot of responsibilities at home and is just 2021 that I had a new responsibility under the category of finance and after I began to work harder in 2023, I became financially balanced.

Boys and girls can't be raised the same way because when they grow up as men and women,they have different tasks to do in their various future families. You can't be teaching the boys the aspect of puberty stage women because is non of their business as their body is totally different from that of the girls.

You can't be laying much emphasis on the leader part of life in a girl because when she gets to her own home, she will begin to command and disrespect her husband and this is very bad. Boys will always be boys and girls will always be girls, they both two different set of human.

I will be a father someday and I won't hesitate to train my children in the right way they need to grow. I have alot of plans for my married life and I would have been a Reverend father but I want to be a father to someone, I want to experience family planning and other, is not easy to be a married man with children but that's what I prefer, I want to see my children behave similarly to the way I did I when I was much younger, I just love this part of life.
