Hello my steemian friends. I would like to wish you all a merry Christmas filled with love, peace and happiness. I am really grateful to @patjewell and this community for organizing such an interesting contest for this week. With regard to this contest Choices! What will it be? #37, I will be talking about merry Christmas.

What is merry Christmas?

Just as most of us know, Christmas is the day set aside for the memory of the birth of Jesus Christ. But in my opinion, merry Christmas is the dawning of love for people, sharing joy and spreading the gospel to the world with love.
To be able to truly participate in the wonder of Christmas, we will have to think positively more about others. The month of December always feels cool and beautiful mostly because of the Christmas celebration. Also, to be able to enjoy and exercise the true spirit of Christmas, we will have to be selfless in our doings, loving one another as it is in God's word. Christmas really emphasizes on the true bond of love, unity and peace. In addition to the Christmas celebration, a joyous Christmas celebration helps prove to us that the most loving celebration takes place when the is love and unity.
The Christmas celebration does a nice role in improving the power of unity by creating time to be shared about loved ones. What ever we used to celebrate the festive season will be a bond that will last forever whether it is a meal to heart-to-heart talk. This festive season is a period where love is spread to the whole world.

Christmas celebration also serves as a period to help the needy with a pure heart. Through this singular act of showing kindness to everyone, it would show to the world that everyone deserves love and attention. Having compassion for others helps to guide our ways in doing good and inspire people around us.
Therefore, by partaking in the same joy of the celebration, we will be able to develop stronger bond of love and unity, eliminating anger and wrath from our heart. The importance of romance cannot be totally ignored.

Have you ever considered how much time, expense and effort we do spend to keep our family, friends and loved ones happy this festive season but hardly give attention to the needy? From the poor on the street to the less privileged to those in the orphanage homes, they all deserve the joy of merry Christmas. My opinion, it must not be a big package that you need to carry to the needy, most times words of encouragement, spending some time, and probably give out a gift to them could go a long way and make them happy about the celebration.

The center of attraction in the merry Christmas is the birth of Jesus Christ. Therefore, the connection between the church and Christ run very deep because man was created and God's image and Jesus Christ came down and died as a human. The Christian church acts as the center to send out the gospel to every creature. The Christian church also carries out a mission which involves the obedience of the government and to maintain peace and orderliness. Also, I really think that showing kindness, peace and love to everyone will make the Christmas celebration a joyous celebration for all.
I would be glad if we all will be able to explain and exercise the Christmas spirit which could motivate people to do good.
