I promise I will deal with you.what the hell has gotten over you?? What do you mean by that? Kelvin, his best friend, threatened to beat the hell out of Felix.

Felix, an average boy who is way too gorgeous, has a best friend by name Kelvin. Both are in their final year in secondary school. Kelvin is a science student whereas Felix is an art student. Their friendship is one of a kind. It now seemed that people now saw them as brothers.

However, things changed after the lecture Felix together with his colleagues had with their Literature teacher; Mr Emmanuel.

He ran home after school. Kelvin ran like a wounded lion to catch up with him. Guy, why will I leave the school without me? “I have some things to handle at home”. FeIix replied. “I will catch up with you later” Felix tried dashing off once more when Kelvin held him.

Felix! Felix!! I promise I will deal with you. What the hell has gotten over you? What do you mean by that? “Guy abeg free me I go catch up with you later”. He ran off laughing and leaving a confused Kelvin who walked home slowly pondering on what happened.

I got home to meet a happy mother preparing dinner for the family. I was nervous and at the same time scared of how to break the news. Mom caught me sneaking into my room smiling. “Felix this one you are smiling like this I hope you are okay”. She asked.

Yes mommy. I replied just that “I am gay”.
Jesus! She exclaimed. “Ahhhhhhhhh!! Ehhhhhhhhh this boy has finished me. E pamiii oooo”. Her scream pierced through my soul yet I acted ignorant.

I was locked up waiting for my dad to arrive together with my sisters who went for work. When they all got home, mom finally got to let me out of the room. I wasn't given food till dad arrived. When all had freshened up, dinner was set on the dining table.
Hmm! Once your matter lands for dining when eating, you are finished. Otilor nothing wey u go explain fit make you escape punishment which will be meted out.

While we were enjoying the meal, mom said; “Felix repeat what you said when I caught you smiling back from school to your room”.

“I said I am gay”. Immediately, dad spit out the water he was drinking. Mom and my sisters looked at me with disgust. Dad was ready to disown me. I guess.

Explain what you just said now. Dad yelled. I said “ I am gay” I responded again this time without fear.
I just won myself a scholarship abroad to study my dream course which you have always wanted me to. So, I am gay. Gay means to be excited. You are a professor and mom a retired lecturer. I wonder why you haven't come across that before.

Well, that is a new word I learnt in my literature class today that gay also means to be excited or happy. So, you really thought that I would practice homosexuality when that is against the will of God too?

No! No!! No!!! Dad you brought me up so well and I can't do that. The expression on everyone's face was that of disappointment I laughed so loud that my family could buy such a lie. But, that didn't stop them from monitoring me to make sure I was not in anyway a gay. My movement with Kelvin was also being monitored. I bet you didn't know that gay could also mean to be excited. Well, now you know.

So, you actually thought I am a gay? He asked me?? My faced dropped.
I can guess the expression on your face now. I bet you are disappointed and bewildered as my family too.
