Photo of the week\ Sharing my best photo of the week
Good day @m-fdo, firstly, i would like to say thank you for this great opportunity, and to all the steemians all over the world, i greet you specially, to all the ladies too, i greet you as well. This platform is amazing.
This is actually my first time in a contest because i recently just joined the steemit and personally i love this title Photo of the week contest 23 | sharing my best photos of the week
how did this photo come about
On a monday morning, i woke up quite early and did my house chores and every other thing i was supposed to do in the morning, my mom and siblings were at home with me that day and we were all just bored. I was so glued to my phone because i had data so i was replying texts and doing some online stuffs but my data subscription finished and i didn't have money to subscribe so i just left my phone and i was just walking round the house out of boredom.
Then suddenly my eyes turned towards the family photo gallery which we kept somewhere in the parlor, and i was just like since I'm bored why don't i just take a look at old memories, so i brought out the photos and started looking at them one after the other, i was filled with happiness by just looking at a glimpse of the past
After like 5 minutes, my mom and my siblings came to join me and we were all having a wonderful time, like explaining the time of the event in the picture or laughing at our cute little outfits thoses years or our hair cut which was moro moro as they usually call it, meaning there's no single hair in your head, educated people call it bald, or the big places we went to as a family and so much more.
Why was it this photo?
When it got to this particular photo, for some reason i couldn't just stop staring at it, i just loved the way i looked in the photo, back then when our smiles weren't fake, i was such a pretty little girl with no problems at all, i still felt the kind of happiness i felt at that particular time and i could vividly remember the colourful moments i had before the photo was taken and i was just smiling so hard in real life that i had to keep the picture aside so that i can stare at it again when i was done.
Then a thought came to me, why don't you snap this picture with your phone so that you can always look at it over and over again which i did and now it's not just the best photo of the week but it's one of my best photos.
why was it my best photo
It was my best photo because i was so small and young and naive, i didn't have any problems back then, i lived life as a kid, so happy and free and i just wished that the happiness would continue, i prayed to God for us to go back to moments like that because back then, life was worth living and people still valued education.
It was my best photo because it was a constant reminder of how time flies and how change was the constant thing in life, who ever believed that i would be one teenage girl with so many problems, certainly not me, it would really take a long time for me to be genuinely happy like i was in that photo because i was no longer a little girl but a grown woman.

Family is Everything.
I took this photo with my phone as you can see, this is a photo of my siblings and I, one of the photos i love so much, you can see the smiles on our faces, i can remember everything that happened on that day, our school took us to a stadium somewhere in my state, can't remember the location because i was still young but what i do remember is that i rode on a horse that day, it was fun and scary, i already knew horses don't bite but when they put me on the horses back, i would start crying immediately because of it's height, that horse was so high and as a young girl i was scared of height.
Family will always be everything, there was no function that we went to that we wouldn't take a family picture at least for memories sake, i loved this one because our poses were unique, i loved the attire, i loved the beautiful smiles on our faces and i badly want to recreate this particular picture with my siblings because i don't see why not.
- life is too short, so make it worth living, take pictures more frequently for future purposes
- No matter how busy you are, try to create time for your family, especially your siblings, make good memories with them
- No matter what you are going through, always try to find your happiness and capture every moment of it because it comes and goes
- learn how to love yourself.
