The beginning of the year brings a lot of happiness and good news for my family. After shopping for engagement supplies some time ago, now it's time for my family to officially propose to a girl. We are very excited.

Last night, we had prepared several things for tomorrow's dowry. We are very grateful because everything went smoothly last night. The community and relatives arranged and also helped make ranup, decorate cakes, wrap fruits, decorate clothes, and also most importantly decorate the gifts, but they were not completely ready.

That morning I woke up at 5 am. I had to take care of several things that were delayed last night because it was too late. I cleaned the living room and also other corners of the house because last night it was messy by the community who helped finish some of the equipment that would be brought later.

Without realizing it, suddenly the sound of the dawn call to prayer was heard from the prayer room next to my house. I then immediately finished my business and cleaned myself to perform the dawn prayer. I also did not forget to pray and give thanks to God who had given me the opportunity until now.

Followed by my mother who had also performed the dawn prayer and we started to act in the kitchen. We prepared some dishes and also tea for the guests who would come later. Mother invited a few guests because the request from the bride and groom's host was also not much due to limited space.

Without realizing it, time was running out. The appointed time for the proposal was coming soon. I had to prepare my three children. After that, I got ready. My relatives who accompanied me had also arrived one by one, as well as the village elders, and we didn't forget to invite the guests to enjoy some snacks before leaving. We left at 10:30.

Usually the village elders will discuss important things such as the timing of the wedding, the amount of the dowry, and also how the wedding will be carried out later.

My husband took the food for me and the kids. There were fruits, cakes, and desserts. Everything was complete and delicious, especially since it was lunch time, lol. While eating, we talked and made video calls with my sister. It turned out she was more nervous than us. Almost every time she called us and asked how the event was going.

The atmosphere was very lively. We sat waiting for what agreements were made inside. After several agreements were made, we women entered and mother began the engagement ceremony. This event was the installation of the ring from the groom's side which was done by my mother herself.

After the installation of the ring, the bride was introduced to the entire family present and also a few souvenirs from us for the bride. After that we took pictures and made this day a very happy moment.

After arriving home, I immediately cleaned myself and took a place to rest. It's been almost a week since I haven't had a good and peaceful rest. I hope that my sister's choice is not wrong and hopefully they will be a match. The wedding will be held next year because my sister's work period ends next year....

After I felt better, I packed all my things and got ready to go home. Don't forget my mother gave me dodol cake which was returned by the host earlier. I went home with Hamzah, while my children were with my husband. After 1 hour we finally arrived and I cleaned myself and performed prayers before finally going to rest. I am grateful for everything I went through today.
