Let's do it...Do It Yourself 👉 - Mehandi Designing(Henna)- Art
Hi friends,
I am Jyoti from India. I would love to participate in this 63-week Let's do it...Do It Yourself contest: https://steemit.com/hive-168072/@ngoenyi/winners-for-week-63-or-or-week-64-begins-let-s-do-it-do-it-yourself-craft-creativity-drawing-origami-diy-recycling-and-more organized by my friend @ngoenyi in the Steem For Ladies community.
For this competition, I have shared the Mehandi (Henna) design that my daughter drew on my hands which I thought would be appropriate and I hope you will like it too.
Mehandi Designing (Henna)- Art |
---|
Required materials
- Mehandi Cone or Ground paste of Henna leaves
STEP1:
Mehndi or henna is very important in Indian women's culture. It is customary for women to make mehndi designs on their hands for any special or festive occasion.
STEP2:
This year my daughter gave me a mehndi design on my hands on the occasion of Diwali. As my daughter participates in NCC and is not allowed to draw these designs on her hands, she was happy to draw them on my hands.
STEP3:
First she took a mehndi cone and started drawing on my palm. She drew designs like flower petals on the underside of the palm.
STEP4:
After that she gave it an elegant shape by drawing leaves and dots and giving it a beautiful ornamental design.
STEP5:
After that she drew the ornamental design on my fingers and other parts of the palm. After drawing for almost an hour the design on the palm was completed.
STEP 6:
After that she started drawing the design on my forearm. First she drew a curved line. She drew an ornament design on top of it.
STEP7:
She drew ornamental designs like flower petals and leaves to match the curved court, interspersed with dots and lines, creating a beautiful elegant design.
STEP 8:
Now I had a beautiful mehndi design ready in my hands. I let it dry for about an hour.
Since the mehndi design needs to stay on the hands for at least an hour, I sat still watching tv and washed my hands after the mehndi dried.
I would like to invite
@memamun, to take part in this contest.

What a beautiful and meaningful gesture. It is so heartwarming to see the bond between you and your daughter through this simple, yet thoughtful act. Mehndi has such deep cultural significance and it's great for your daughter to share her creativity with you on a special occasion like Diwali.

Salam
