👉Let's do it...Do It Yourself 👉 Bird Toy- Craft
Hi friends,
I am Jyoti from India I would love to participate in this 79th week Let's do it...Do It Yourself contest : https://steemit.com/steem-for-ladies/@ngoenyi/winners-for-week-78-or-or-week-79-begins-let-s-do-it-do-it-yourself-craft-creativity-drawing-origami-diy-recycling-and-more organised by my friend @ngoenyi in Steem For Ladies community.
When we were kids, we bought a toy that featured a sparrow jumping up when blowing through a straw or pipe. Such toys are no longer available in stores. So I made a toy based on this idea so that my son could play with it. I hope you like it too.
Bird Toy Craft
Required materials
- Paper cup
- Pencil
- Plastic hand gloves
- Glue
- Cutter/Knife
- Sciossors
- Rubber band
- Straw
- Blue color sheet
STEP 1:
Take a blue colored paper and draw a circle on it, leaving half an inch. On one side, draw a bird's beak, and below that, draw a neck. Then, cut it into the shape of a bird head with scissors.
STEP 2:
Take the same blue color sheet and cut it into a 1x2 rectangle, and make 4 rectangles. Fold the rectangle and cut it to make feather-like shape as shown in the image
STEP 3:
Take a plastic transparent glove and stick the bird's head on the thumb with glue, and stick the feathers on the other fingers.
STEP 4:
Take a paper cup and use a nail or wire to make a hole in the bottom of it large enough for a straw to fit through. Then insert a straw into it to make it airtight.
STEP 5:
Now take the hand cloves that you have already made and attach them to the paper cup glass at its mouth with a rubber band.
Now blow air into the cup through the straw. Then the glove expands and looks like a bird coming up. When you pull air in, the glove srinks and looks like a bird entering the glass.

Now the bird jumping toy is ready to play. I hope you like this craft.
