Hello Ladies Friends
Warm greetings and congratulations to all the Steem for Ladies community ladies. I hope all the ladies are well. The contest 👉Let's do it...Do It Yourself👉Craft, Creativity, Drawing, origami, DIY, Recycling and more organized by @ngoenyi mam in the Steem for Ladies community. In the competition, we will be able to share our various skills. Today I will share a recipe for the competition. Today I will share the recipe for Shahi Carrot Halwa.
We all eat carrots. Carrots have various types of nutrients that are very beneficial for our body. Carrots can be cooked and eaten in different ways. The holy Shab-e-Barat is coming up. On this day, in addition to worship, the custom of eating with family and friends is quite old. Although various types of food are prepared on this day, halwa remains the main dish. Various types of halwa are prepared and sent to the neighbors' houses, which is a unique example of harmony. Today, keeping in mind the holy Shab-e-Barat, I will share the recipe for Shahi Carrot Halwa. Carrots are available at a very low price in this winter season from the market. I bought one kilogram of carrots from the market to make the Shahi Carrot Halwa recipe. Without delay, I am sharing the Shahi Carrot Halwa recipe with you.
All the ingredients required for the Shahi Carrot Halwa recipe:
Carrots 1 kg
Sugar 2 cups
Garam Masala
Liquid milk 1 cup
Raisins 1 tablespoon
Powdered milk 50 grams
Chopped almonds 2 tablespoons
Chopped cashew nuts 2 tablespoons
Step 1:
To make Shahi Carrot Halwa, I took one kilogram of carrots. I peeled the carrots and washed them thoroughly in clean water. Then I grated the carrots with a vegetable grater.
Step 2:
After grating the carrots, I put a pan on the stove. I added two tablespoons of ghee to the pan and heated it lightly. Then I fried the carrots in ghee with 1 tablespoon of raisins, 2 tablespoons of chopped almonds, and 2 tablespoons of chopped cashews for 2 minutes on medium heat. When they are fried and change color, I put them in a bowl.
Step 3:
I added 2 more tablespoons of ghee to the excess ghee in the pan. I stirred the cinnamon, cardamom, and bay leaves in the ghee and fried them. When the cinnamon and cardamom flavors came out, I stirred the grated carrots well and mixed them with the ghee.
Step 4:
I stirred the carrots very well and fried them well for about 10 to 12 minutes. The taste of carrot halwa depends on how long the carrots are fried in ghee. Now I will add a cup of milk to the carrots to cook the carrots. I will stir it until the milk is drawn. When the milk dries up and the carrots are cooked, I will add sugar. Sugar cannot be added first because if sugar is added first, the carrots will not be cooked properly.
Step 5:
After adding sugar, stir well and mix it with the carrots. The sugar will melt and spread the water. I will cook it stirring continuously until the water dries up.
Step 6:
When the water in the carrots dries up, I will add 50 grams of powdered milk. If you use powdered milk at this stage of cooking, the milk will be granular, which will double the taste of Shahi Carrot Halwa. I mixed the milk and carrots well and stirred.
Step 7:
Now I added the previously fried dry fruits to the carrot halwa. I stirred the dry fruits and mixed them with the halwa. Now the carrot halwa has become sticky. The Shahi carrot halwa is ready. At this stage, I will turn off the stove.
Step 8:
I took a spread plate to serve the Shahi carrot halwa recipe. I served the Shahi carrot halwa on the plate. After serving, I spread some more raisins, chopped almonds, and chopped cashew nuts.
